Kara and Haley at the NW 23rd shop are AMAZING. Haley greeted my partner and I like we were old friends catching up. She chatted with me about old school lush products and knew her stuff! I’ve had a really rough couple of days and had been crying all morning, but my interaction with Haley had me smiling and now I’m happy crying because of her kindness. She took her time to make us feel like friends, hooked us up with some samples to try out, and we left with not only products we love, but a smile and in a better mood. THANK YOU HALEY for making my day. You’re a gem, if google let me use emojis I’d give you all the hearts!

Lush Cosmetics Portland, it was my first time at this location. The customer service was incredible and very welcoming the moment you walked through the door. They ask you what brings you in and what you're looking for, and to ask questions if you need any help. They offer products for bath, body, and hair that are fresh, handmade, cruelty-free, and vegetarian. They're mostly known for their bath bombs and hand soaps. The atmosphere and layout of the store were aesthetically pleasing, and it smelled so good. I would definitely recommend checking this location out; the people are super nice.

Lush is famously known for their bath bombs. The Portland Lush store has been on NW 23rd Street since the 1990’s. This store is one of six stores modeled after the flagship store in Canada. Friendly service, trendy products and live demo’s are just a few of the reasons to pop in and shop! This is definitely the ultimate store for a papering and self care experience!

Another update: the owner responded with your generic run of the mill "we're sorry for your experience" without addressing how she would be bringing this feedback up to her staff or actually improving the problems that I and clearly a lot of other people have experienced. Your money is better spent elsewhere. DON'T come here, Washington square has a similar selection.

I don't normally write reviews but my goodness, lush customer service has gone extremely downhill and the person who checked me out should seriously be retrained.

Brought in some pots and some still had some dry product in it so she told me to wash them, which I was fine with but then she just kept talking and giving excuses as to why she didn't want to wash my pots which made me feel really uncomfortable and weird but I brushed it off because having worked for lush before I understood, but she was just condescending throughout my entire experience with little comments (I think she thought I wouldn't catch on to it). I asked for a total of 4 samples of different things and she flat out refused to give me any more citing "it can give your skin trouble" as if I was going to try the samples all at the same time. Overall rude, condescending, and flat out passive aggressive while still wanting me to spend $100+ and making faces and unsettling comments when I don't, it was similar in effect to going into Sephora without any makeup on. If it weren't for their pot return program I would never step foot into a lush again, and after this experience, I'm going to seriously reconsider. The high prices and terrible service just aren't worth it.

Update: after reading other reviews, it seems that the employees here don't like the pot return and treat people badly who bring them in (they're also super stingy with samples, my shower gel sample was in the wrong, smaller...

I had the best experience here the last time I went in. I loved that they stopped and said hey you can sanitize your hands or here why don't you wash your hands with your own little bar of soap. And just a reminder you can smell our products through your mask please keep your mask on the entire time.

This made me incredibly comfortable shopping here. It was so refreshing.

Also the staff was fantastic and so attentive to the customers in the store as well as had time to chit chat about the newest things that had come in and what they loved about them and honestly what we enjoyed about each other it was just such a fantastic experience.

I mean of course parking is hard it's 23rd. But it was so worth circling the block a couple times to find a space because I spent way too much money... But I'll tell you this I'm very soft right now.

I've also done online pickup here and that was fantastic like during times when they weren't allowing as many shoppers in I picked up my order it was easy it was simple. The staff here just really hits it out of the park every time.

Even though they were out of one of the products I wanted they had so many other great options. And even then I was lucky enough to go to another lush and find it there and I bet if I would have asked them they would have told me where it was too!

Seriously if you want to impress a partner that has a love of baths go buy them a bath bomb... Take the time to park, ask this attentive and friendly staff what they think your partner would like, and you're going to be the winner...

Great store. Big store. And well staffed with nice employees

I will say I walked in as a 6'7" man behind some other party of 4 college girls I wasn't a part of, and I saw what I believe was a supervisor eye the greeter to deal with me, not the girls, while the supervisor went off to do, something. I didn't pay attention. This wouldn't have bothered me if I didn't see the concern and disdain on both of their faces, hoping they can whisk me out of the store as quick as they could. I bought what I wanted, but felt typecasted to receive overly helpful, and unnecessarily pushy help to get me out, out of suspicion of being a deplorable shoplifter with an outie between my legs, instead of an innie. So to avoid the pressure, I just stated "I don't want help, go help them thank you". And so they stared from afar my every move.

I'm glad these employees are doing their job so well, cause they are selling and protecting a company asset, while trying to keep an image going. That's hard work, I've done it for lush before during holidays in the past, and I definitely believe their products are truly amazing, fun, and effective. I just didn't like being targeted in a way I am in some places in specific. Skincare stores being one of them. Just watching their strategies on me unfold before me was a little interesting, laughable, but also...
