Today, I drove from out of town quite a ways to see my grandchildren for a small time here and pay for the carousel. Neither they or I live in Rexburg. While in the car parked and on my phone with my son I asked him to check and see if they can go on if they dried off from the splash pad. He asked “The kids are over on the splash pad can they ride if they dry off or do they need to change clothes.” He was on speaker. Mary said “No they don’t need to change clothes they just need to dry off.” So the only one grandchild was wet and she dried off. Her hair was still clearly wet and we stood there in front of her and Emma buying tickets for two kids riding and me and two adults were going to stand. No one including the girl who my granddaughter was standing in front of said a word.
We go to get on and Emma, who was sitting there while we bought tickets, tell us they have to be “100% dry”, she also said she has “seen people from the splash pad 100% dry them selves” and that her “sister told us the exact same thing” before we bought tickets.
I now am out gas money and ticket money because they don’t refund based on what Mary told us and saw while we bought. I don’t have a ton of money and two excited little kids now don’t get to go on.
One guy says you’re going to write a review over 6$? Yes, (and gas money) some of us don’t have a lot of money like apparently he does in this economy. He also said did you read the sign? Well no he went right to the desk and asked the attendant. He didn’t see the sign. We went on what she said.
If she had said “100% dry” we wouldn’t have bought tickets. It’s a cloudy day and we have an hour and they wouldn’t dry in the sun in time.
So disappointed in this place. We were misled and then they kept the money.
But it’s the principal of the thing Mary as asked point blank how dry and if they needed to change clothes and she said no and just dry off.
We asked Mary again after Emma was sure her sister said the same thing which turned out to be a lie. And Mary said she NEVER said 100% dry.
This is ridiculous. Two parents were going to stand there and hold them on and one wasn’t wet yet and one was dried off.
We were misled by one employee and then both saw us all as we bought tickets and waited to say anything until they had the money and can’t refund.
I will be disputing the charge once it’s posted as business misleading consumer and then refusing refund when product wasn’t...
Read moreOnly open during the summer. Fun for the whole family and it brings on the nostalgia. It has a free splash pad 20 feet away that is very popular with the locals. Bring a swim suit to change into. Great for kids. The carousel is is a park that is great for picnics. There are pavilions, tennis courts, restrooms, a large field, trees (popular for hammocks), play ground equipment (large swings,slides,monkey-bars, etc.), and a jogging path. There are even places to buy food or icecream just across the block.
It is the perfect place to spend a summers evening. I'll deffinently...
Read moreThis is the cutest small-town carousel, my kids would come here every day if I’d let them. It might be considered a little pricey in Idaho, but a steal anywhere else. It’s in a huge park that has a splash pad and playground, so it’s a great place to make a pit stop and let the kids run around and have a picnic if you’re on a road trip, just pay attention to the hours so you’re not...
