As another review has mentioned, The Florence USED to be an amazing place to live. I've lived here since August 2020 and for the first year or so everything was GREAT. I had moved in as soon as they opened - so I was lucky enough to move in to a brand new studio no one else had lived in. The appliances, custom countertops, water pressure and temperature, space - all great. For the first year or so, there was always a cleaning crew seen around the property; cleaning the pool, taking care of the grill area, cleaning the elevators, sweeping the halls, etc.
But since I've moved in, management has changed THREE times. Issues that I had gone over with one was never passed on to the next. I've dealt with the same constantly barking dog and disrupting neighbors (I've had to call for welfare checks multiple times) across the hallway for the better part of a year. There doesn't seem to be a cleaning crew anymore at all. The trash has been an ongoing issue for months; at times the chutes were stopped up for whatever reason and trash would literally pile up in the halls over the weekend, leaving stains on the carpet and smelling up an entire floor. When not in the halls, the trash will pile up in the dumpsters outside for days on end. Construction has been ongoing and seems to be surrounding the complex at all sides. Apparently the gate is purely for decoration because it's always open, anyone could park there. There are barely any areas to take your pet, leaving most tenants, including myself, having to cross the four lane street to relieve their pet. That's probably why they've had such a difficult time with pet waste surrounding the entire complex, and recently in the stairwells. There's been a blood trail in one of the stairwells for months. Walls are paper thin and if you're unlucky enough to live below someone that gets up at 3am every day - as I've been - you won't be getting much sleep.
I wouldn't let the luxury appearance fool you into thinking this is anything other than another apartment complex promising you the world but never following up on anything. That's if they return your calls and e-mails. I'm looking forward to ending my lease and...
Read moreI have lived here at Florence at the Harbor going on my 5th year. I have had 2 heart surgeries and carpal tunnel surgery and the maintenance men did everything to help me and my dog, all of them were there to help me with whatever I needed even to carrying some groceries for my car to my apartment because I wasnât supposed to lift. If I am not around or they donât see me, they will come knock on my door and check on me to make sure that Iâm OK. If Dre and Jesus see me getting water and groceries out of my car or if I am coming off or on the elevators they will help me with my groceries. When I have something that needs help in my appointment Dre and Jesus are right there to fix it. I had a flat car Dre had a pump in his car. He came and filled it up for me. I canât say enough about Dre and Jesus theyâre always on top of everything always kind always first to say hi how are you doing? Is there anything we can do for you?, etc. Itâs the same with the women in the front office Ana and Michelle. Theyâre right there to help me. I am âcomputer illiterate.â if I canât find how to do something like on Florence At The Harborâs portal, they helped me with it. Even Tasha, Sophia and Christina they were just as helpful and considerate and try to get you information as quickly as possible. Ana and Michelle are exactly the same. Theyâre willing to listen and to try and find answers. I canât say enough for this company the people at this particular apartment complex all are really wonderful people. I canât say enough good things about them. Thank you Ana, Michelle,Dre and Jesus for...
Read moreFlorence used to be an amazing apartment! Loved everything about it when I first moved in, the front office folks were always so kind and they were a big part on why I chose to live here when I first moved to Texas. Now that management has changed to Weidner itâs awful. Management is so all over the place, theyâre disorganized and lazy. They donât open the office til 10:30am now and they only work on the weekdays. While everybody who works during the week can never address an issue if they have one over the weekend. Management is hardly in the office when I go to visit. Both pelotons havenât been working since they changed management. Trash literally PILES up at the door, when you open the door the trash is almost touching the roof, itâs really gross. You smell the trash when you walk the hallways, nobody cleans anymore. Hallways, gyms everything is dirty now. Thereâs no wifi in the gym and hardly any service at the gym so you canât even listen to music on wifi.
Used to be a really nice place with great kind management. Now with weidner, itâs as if there is no management
UPDATE: Met AJ, new community director. & you can tell he is very hands on and he is currently building a team to help run the apt smoothly. He seems very intentional kind and direct in handling problems. Seems to be going great again w/...
