I recently had the pleasure of visiting Canyon Sports in Salt Lake City for a ski rental and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! This is a great store for anyone looking to gear up for a day on the slopes or looking to upgrade their equipment.
One of the things that stood out to me was the efficiency of the staff, particularly Rob. I was greeted with a warm smile and was quickly helped with all my ski rental needs. Rob was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about all the equipment available for rent, and he made sure that I was completely comfortable and satisfied with my gear. His kind and friendly demeanor put me at ease, and I was able to focus on the ski rental process with ease.
The store itself is well-stocked and organized, making it easy to find what you are looking for. The rental process was simple and straightforward, and I was in and out in no time. The staff was also very helpful with answering any questions I had about the gear, and they provided excellent advice on which equipment would best suit my needs.
One of the things I appreciated most about Canyon Sports is their commitment to making ski rental easy and stress-free. They have a streamlined process that allows you to get in and out quickly, and their knowledgeable staff is always willing to help. This makes the experience of skiing more enjoyable, and I was able to spend more time on the slopes and less time worrying about gear.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Canyon Sports for anyone looking for a ski rental in Salt Lake City. They are efficient, professional, and kind, and their commitment to making ski rental easy is unmatched. I will definitely be visiting again on my next trip to the slopes. Thank you, Canyon Sports, for making my ski rental experience such a...
Read moreI've rented from here a couple times with no problems, then saw all the bad reviews on Yelp. When I showed up at the ski shop on March 26th 2014, I expressed my concerns. The workers acknowledged the bad reviews, they remembered those people. I asked them to double check my bindings, they did.
I rented the sport package skis, ended up with standard Rossignol (blue and white). These skis worked ok, but I was at Snowbird and they got dumped on. The next day I went back and expressed my concerns and wanted to try something else, a wider ski that could handle the powder better. They put me in Rossignol Phantom 80s, and these skis were much better.
It seems to me the trend is a wider ski. The old style Rossignols (blue and white) will work on the groomed runs, but it just seems everyone has wider skis that can handle the powder and crud better. Heck, there were people with Atomic skis that were even wider than my Phantom 80s, and they were rentals too. If someone comes in and it's a sunny day and the runs are groomed, then the old style Rossignols will be fine. But if the area is getting dumped on, the Phantom 80s or similar are better.
So for my visit, everything worked out, the ski shop heard my concerns, swapped out the skis after the 1st day, and I had no problems with the return. I hope the trend continues because this shop has a good location downtown. The coupon I printed from the web site worked, and the discounted lift tickets saved me some money.
When you go, ask them to check the weather, tell them which resort you plan on visiting, and then decide which ski will work the best depending on which trails you...
Read moreI will never rent from these arrogant jerks ever again! I went in and rented a pair of the demo skis ($35 with the discount for early reservation) and the next day when I got up to the resort I went to clip in and my skis wouldn't fit. I had to have Brighton adjust them for me costing me $20. When I returned the skis later they told me they were sorry and that it never happens to them and said they would refund me $10, the amount I had to pay to fix their mistake would have been nice but I'll take what I can get. A couple weeks later I decide to give them a second chance since they have decent prices. I tell them about my last experience and they assure me that it won't happen again and tell me they will double check the bindings. I head straight out to go do some night skiing and what do you know, my boots won't clip in! I have Brighton adjust them, again ($20). The next day when I go in to return them I tell them what happened and that this is the second time it has happened. His response verbatim "That sucks, have a good day" and he walks away. I had to go talk to another employee to get my refund, again only $10. But before he would give me my refund he gave me some speech about how Obama has made it almost impossible to do refunds so he isn't sure if he will be able to do the refund. Then he tells me that i probably adjusted the skis myself so that Brighton would have to fix them, makes a ton of sense huh? The stupid is strong with...
