So giving 2 stars because everyone was sweet and polite. But I have a major issue with a salon telling clients they can do 2 Dutch braids and I get there and find out while my hair is being done that the lady is fresh out of school and has only ever done a French braid once and never extentions. I am super patient and will help teach someone which I did. I let her get some good practice in and showed her how to do the braids correctly but I still walked out of there with my hair looking like I had left those braids in for over a week. It was sloppy and a mess because it was way too loose. But she is still learning. The salon shouldn't advertise this as a service if they are still learning to do this. I fully disagree with being charged for a service that I needed to teach the stylist how to do and still wasn't preformed to the standard that you would expect to be charged for. So I then had to remove the braids when I got back to the hotel and wash my hair to get all the gel out and now will have to find another salon in the area to braid my hair this week and pay for new colored extentions. So although they are very polite and sweet people, they shouldn't have someone working solo on clients that is that fresh out of school and they shouldn't book services that they can't preform to salon quality standards. The time to try something for the first time is not with a paying client. Staff should be trained better to not put clients in that position to leave with their hair...
Read moreOne name....Page Siegel. Page is the manager at the location in Scottsdale and let me tell you...if you are looking for a stylist with heart, she's the one. I give her 5/5 stars. The actual site gets 4/5 stars. It could use some schnazzing up in there but it's not awful. Also, the first time I arrived, I left with hair that I could not live with at all. I dont want to say anything negative about the first stylist because mistakes happen and they had a lovely disposition during my time with them. I am certain that they have been made aware of how to attempt things differently next time. Page did save the day, however! I called the day after my first style, feeling bad about having to object once I saw how it looked after it was good and dry but Page assured me there was nothing to feel bad about and asked me to come in right away! I was so grateful because I had an VERY important interview the next morning and she was open and willing to help! She whipped my hair up and into shape and GIIIIRLS (and everyone else)....Honey, she DID THAT! My hair went from Tekashi 69 pink and purple to beautiful natural (and professional) looking mocha brown baliage WITH a blow out! Okay!? Yes! It was on point and magnific! I had the confidence to slay my interview and land the job offer! Whoop! Thanks Page! You will love Page Siegel at Arizona Hair Co. or anywhere she may be! Shes a gem! Go see...
Read moreReally disappointed in this salon; I’ve gone for years. Walked in on January 6th for a cut. 3 of the first 6 days were holidays. The manager and hairdresser signed me in at the counter. NEITHER one explained that their fees INCREASED for the New Year. Neither one indicated a flier displayed (which I had not noticed) for me to read about their increase. I was undecided about a blowdry and all the hairdresser said was there was an “extra” charge. I should have asked but it was always $15. So, as a senior on fixed income, instead of their old price at $43 plus tip, it was $70 plus a generous tip as always. When I asked why $70, the manager had a very condescending attitude in explaining the increases ($35 cut, $35 blowdry). It’s not that I couldn’t afford it, I didn’t WANT to pay that much unexpectedly! I know, I know, for Scottsdale this is cheap and why am I complaining. Because I wasnt prepared to spend that much. I would have gone without the blowdry. Really not happy w their manager. I feel scammed. They just lost 3 customers (myself and 2 referrals) by...
