I've visited this store each time I traveled to Solvang since it opened about 20 years ago. Absolutely love this place! It’s geared more towards the spiritually inclined, but there’s definitely something there for everyone. Lots of stones and crystals (small to really large), books, incense, candles, figurines, jewelry, awesome tapestries, and some really unique artwork. Jo is genuinely a down to earth sweetheart and has a great deal of knowledge about each item in her shop. Both she and Heather really take the time to answer questions and explain just about every aspect regarding any particular item. I recently brought my wife as I felt she would truly appreciate what they have, and I’m glad I did! She truly adores not just the shop, but also everyone who works there as well. The Mystic Merchant is a rare place of enchantment. They have some of the most incredible gigantic powerful stones I have ever seen and I have traveled extensively. They also have a veritable treasure trove of the small 'starter' stones; the intermediary and the giant. Their prices are very reasonable both in the crystals they sell and their wonderful collection of jewelry, books, artwork and statuary. As a Holistic bBodyworker and Reiki Practitioner, this space is my safe haven of like minded individuals. It smells magical when you enter this place. There are all kinds of raw and tumbled stones, crystals, and earthly remnants. As well as a wide selection of tarot cards, really great metaphysical books and the like. There is a couple people who come in during the week to give intuitive readings. My favorite is Vicki and she is there weekends.
