we were NEVER told there were several weddings booked for the same weekend so the loading and unloading was a GIANT cluster-F**K. Had to share carts with other parties so loading on was a nightmare. The area for guests to congregate and wait for boarding is way too small and no restrooms for guests to use while waiting. lack of seating for those waiting. Parking is a nightmare and inadequate. Guests must walk down a filthy gravel road and if it rains - good luck with that and all the mud. whoever is the managing the boat crews must have been a sailor as my guests have never heard such filthy language over their walkie talkie communication systems. Manager was insulting the guests. very unprofessional! Security is non-existent when boat is docked. SEVERAL of the private boat slip inhabitants near the Andiamo boats just walked on to our boat that was for our private wedding event and no one from the boat staff did anything to remove them. apparently this happens often. I am so happy I did not offer an open bar that night or else these drunks that crashed our event would have impacted my bar tab! While leaving the venue and walking past the private boat owners we were assaulted with rude comments and my guests were once again insulted. Again Andiamo did nothing to stop this. 1 hour is NOT enough time to properly set up for a wedding. I would suggest to the boat company to not offer an afternoon cruise if there is a wedding booked at 5:00. Also if there are several weddings in one day they should stagger the departure times. guests that needed to use the elevator were treated as an annoyance and it was clear to my handicapped guests that they did not like the guests using the elevator. They were made extremely uncomfortable. waitstaff was rude and was quite easy to see that they hate their jobs I would NOT recommend to any one considering this venue the $200 champagne pour was a RIP! the only redeeming thing about this wedding was the EXCELLENT DJ we hired from an outside source and the food was decent. this is a turn and burn operation and never was there an effort to make this a special day for the wedding. our wedding planner had to cut the wedding cake with a butter knife as a cake knife was not provided. wedding planner was forced to be the bouncer for uninvited guests that made their way on board when...

The potential was through the roof for a lovely evening. We boarded & we’re pleased with the setting. Plenty of room, not very many people. Easy to move around on the boat, seeing many views. The food was very tasty, and plenty of it, with such few people.
The staff, for the most part, was Not helpful in explaining what was happening, (ie: time to eat or can I answer any questions). We saw very few staff members. But, maybe Saturday is low staffed because of the buffet. Someone who have been on board in the past let us Newbies know when to get in line.
And usually, the Captain would welcome you on board or even say goodbye at the end, we never knew who he was.
The Band was a real dud! They played happy birthday & happy anniversary & made up a few songs & disappeared. Then at the end they lined up at the exit gate to collect their tips. That was their best performance.
A few Suggestions: 1). Have the Captain & a few crew members welcome their guests. And encourage them to smile. 2). Add a speaker system to explain the tour, history of the area & interesting points. .....Other places we visited in Stillwater were very informative, add to that experience, don’t let your beautiful .....Cruise business become a distraction. 3). Allow the staff to work with the guests & allow them to receive tips, & smile more. 3) Have more non-alcoholic drinks available. We don’t all come to get drunk. 4). I understand people come in many sizes but PLEASE have a dress code for your staff! No butt cracks or .....bellies hanging out under their shirt & britches! (Especially the ones serving the dinner!) 5). Have the Band have a planned selection of songs to be played and let the guests know when & where ......they’ll be, They can come to them. Then maybe people would be happy to tip them at the end. 6). The price was very doable but if it means you need to step up your game a bit, raise it, we will come. ......This could be such a wonderful part of Minnesota activities, 7). And for the good of your staff, treat them well, they are a huge part of your business.
I sincerely hope the very best for your business & hope it is successful for many years, but you do need to step it up a notch or...
Read moreOur 3rd time coming to this over the last 7 years! We really enjoy these cruises! I would rate it 4.5 if I could, but i'll give it a 5 star because we do keep coming back. This was to celebrate my parents 30th. There was 10 of us. I ordered all tickets online in advance.
The boat is clean and so are the bathrooms. They have an older style. We have always gone during the jazz band. Food is pretty good and is buffet style- they had garden salad, bread rolls, roast beef with sauce, wild rice stuff chicken with sauce, amazing roasted garlic potatoes (literally the best!) and assorted small desserts. Water is free. Coffee and soft drink beverages are $2. Wine and cocktails are about $7.
Jazz band goes around and plays. The only reason, I docked a half point is because when the boat is full it is LOUD. It is hard to hear. Otherwise, they boat rain or shine, we have experienced the hard rain and a sunny day before, both are fun regardless. The boat is very safe, it does not sway back and forth like most boats, so you shouldn't experience motion sickness (like I usually do with larger boats). Please note the boat is also accessible - my Dad uses a wheelchair and oxygen and we had no problems (just make sure you have someone who can push up the incline from the boat dock and control going down).
Arrive early (at LEAST 30 minutes) to ensure you can find parking and the boat you are riding. Check in with the grey desks. We were checked in quickly when we arrived. Staff is friendly, helpful and kind. They leave promptly on time. Food was ready for us a starting about 10 minutes after take off and they assign tables so it's not crowded. We were divided up and let go grab food by tables. Kept you from standing for long times and a bit more order. They do not come by for drink orders, you must go get the drinks yourself. Staff are smiling and really encourage a peaceful time. We were back right at 3:30pm and started to get off about right then. It’s very organized. I felt comfortable, safe and we love the views! Beautiful and...
