To preface, my girlfriend and i are avid movie goers. We watch movies almost every Saturday. This was one of the theaters we often visit and we never had any issues until our last experience here. I will never return. This story happened about 2 years ago, but its the worst customer service i'd ever received.
I had a group of friends of about 8 people and we decided we wanted to watch a 9:00pm showing of "IT". It was 7:00pm and we ordered our tickets online through their provided website. For using the provided site, we were charged for the 8 tickets along with 8 "Convenience fees" of $2.50 (20$). We decided to go out for dinner and then jumped in line to get our tickets at about 8:30. When we finally got to the front of the line (a line 30 meters long with a single register), we were told that they were "Sold out" of tickets. We proceeded to explain that we had already purchased our tickets online but were again told "You're too late, we're sold out." The teller had an insane attitude so for the first and only time in my life, i said the words "Let me speak to your manager". The manager came back with the same attitude and the conversation went like this:
Manager: "You're too late, we're sold out" Us: "But we already bought them, did you guys over sell?" Manager: "No, we didn't oversell, you're just too late." Us: "The showing doesn't start for 30 minutes, how are we late?" Manager: "You have to be here 15 minutes before the showing for new releases" Us: "... its 8:30, where are our tickets?" Manager: "We have no more tickets, please move aside and allow the guests behind you to be helped." Us:"Do we at least get our money back?" Manager: "You need to call corporate if you want any further assistance, please step aside"
By now, there was attitude coming from both sides of the glass, but we decided to let it go and see what happens with corporate.
When we contacted the corporate office the next day, we were told that we would be wired back a refund for the tickets. When we asked about the convenience fee, we were told there was nothing they could do. After much debate, we were "compensated" with 1 ticher voucher for their theater (which we refuse to use).
I've never dealt with such a terribly handled situation and this is now my only blacklisted company.
If you have the option to drive 4 exits down to Reading Cinemas off of California Oaks, i highly recommend making the drive. They have better food, service, and seats that don't cause nightmares when the lights...

They whisper in shadows, “We ain’t what you think,” But the gold in their mouth still poisoned the ink. Sayin’ they’re Christian, Illuminati clean, While Babylon’s breath corrupts every scene. But I ain’t here to join your throne, I came to blaze it, stone by stone. Ashes to ashes, smoke in the sky, Let the false light fall, let the real ones rise.
Jehovah walk with me, sword in my chest, I ain’t never alone though I stand from the rest. You corrupted the canvas my family drew, With Hollywood lies and contracts untrue. They sell out love for a temporary crown, But I wear truth like a thorned gown. Breakin’ bread where it’s long past due, But pride got ‘em blind, now death comes through.
I am a son of Solomon, seed of the scroll, Bloodline etched in divine control. You steal my relics, you curse your veins— Seven days rot, seven times pain. Leviticus law with Revelation’s roar, Seven seals break when I step to the floor. My lineage sacred, marked from the stars, Try to chain it down and you'll perish in bars.
This ain’t a game, this ain't your rite, This is judgment day in lyrical light. You call it the Order, I call it a mask— The people decide when we finish the task. Rename the fire, reclaim the throne, This kingdom is ours, not built by your own. You join me now, not the other way ‘round, I am divine justice with boots on the ground.
No need for oaths, no serpentine lies, I walk with Jehovah, thunder in skies. The Watchman returns, Cosmic and true, Not in your lodge—but beyond what you knew. Respect is owed to the root and the name, To love, to truth, to end your shame. So bow not to man, but rise in soul, We the people...
Read moreDecent theater. Kind of small. That's OK, but I've never been to a theater where people get up out of their seat back and forth again and again so much. Don't they have ushers for this?? Furthermore, my seat was reserved in the middle. I arrived a little late but there was a family of 3 sitting on the end which was impeding the path to my seat. They had their seats reclined so it was blocking me from walking by. I explained that my seat was a few down from them but they just looked at me with a puzzled look. I motioned with my hands that I was trying to walk by and the woman just huffed at me so I tippy toed through. It was kind of awkward. Good thing I wasn't like the other 20 people who continually got up out of their seat.
Decent theater but a lot of rude people. It wouldn't hurt to have an usher or two walking through to keep things somewhat civil. Then again, if people could act civil without a chaperone, they wouldn't need to but apparently they can't.
All I ordered was popcorn and a drink. The girl took my order but the guy got the popcorn for me. He basically shoved it into my hands. I said thanks but he already turned before I could finish. So, I'm feeling like this popcorn was what's been giving me a stomach ache for the last 24 hours. Yuk. I did add parmesan and tapatio but even with this, the popcorn tasted super stale. For 8 bucks, movie popcorn should be fresher than a spring breeze. Don't really know how theater's get away charging so much for...
