CubeSmart Self Storage — Attraction in The Colony

Unfortunately I had to change my review. I rented from assured in the colony Texas with the manager Mary. I rented there while I was caring for a sick friend until she passed away.

After I left there and was ready to get back to work I rented a storage facility to hold my inventory for a business I was starting at another company.

I heard Mary the manager of assured storage in the colony made slanderis lies about me directly effecting my business. Although assured has nice facilities there choice of managers and there ethics are questionable. I am strongly considering a liable lawsuit against Mary and assured storage.

I have reached out to Mary about her comments but she failed to respond. I have sent a email to Keith the manager over her and also am attempting to contact Blair the owners daughter who manages assured storage for her father and they refused to respond.

I will update this review accordingly. I am currently in the works seeking an attorney to move forward in a declamation of character lawsuit against these two parties. Defamation of character occurs when someone makes a false statement (which Mary made) about you that causes you some type of harm. The statement must be published (meaning some third party must have heard it)the current storage facility I rent from) , false, and it must result in harm, usually to the reputation.i was told by this third party that her (Mary) remarks put my reputation in question.Will update after meeting with lawyer.

Assured commented on my review saying there sorry Mary and my friendship did not stay intact after I moved. I have text back and forth many times over the last year as friend with Mary. This is not about friendship it is about one company (assured) slandering my name to another company I do business with. I do not know why she slandered my name and reputation with her lies to people I do business with and I do not accept there apolgy. I want to make sure Mary as a representative of Assured Storage answers in court and hopefully the court sees there ways. I have a meeting with a lawyer next week. Will update. I have had a chance to be counseled and will be moving forward with the suit. 5/5/18 updated.

I am to busy to go through this anymore. All I want to say to anyone that rents from Mary at assured storage please watch out for her. It's obvious she is a miserable person that likes to talk bad about people and people who rent from them. She personally has bad mouthed people and employees in from of me. She used to speak bad about one of her star MJ often to me which I thought was inappropriate since I was a rents.

My youngest daughter has dubbed Leah “our guardian angel”! This should tell you how amazing Leah is at her job and as a human being. I was forced to move from the home I’ve rented for the last 4 years, the owner REALLY wanted to sell the house. I was unable to find a place to live on such short notice, so I needed storage. It was the weekend right before Labor Day. I went online and based on prices and distance, US storage was the best place for me. I called the customer service number and a very nice lady helped me complete my reservation. After charging me, she mentioned that all I had to do was go by and show my id to the person there and I could start moving stuff into storage. I quickly mentioned to her that I thought they’d be closed. She didn’t realize that the office was closed at that point and would not reopen until Tuesday Sept 5th… but I had to be done with my move by Monday the 4th! Everything that could go wrong with this move, went wrong! The owner showed up and blocked the garage where I was taking things out from… then turned on the sprinklers in the front where I had started taking things out from.. I called customer service again and begged them for assistance. They contacted a manager that then contacted Leah and she told them she would go back to help me! She was so amazing! Sweet, professional, helpful, compassionate, empathetic. I ended up needed a second storage unit and at this point I truly was ready to give up… I was a mess and incredibly tired. She stayed open a little later to help me, Leah allowed me to vent while still getting the work done, she even gave me a hug!! Leah is truly a gem in customer service and as a person. She was a true light at a very dark moment. In these times where good Customer service is a rarity, I pray that US Storage acknowledges the amazing employee they have right there! Leah, THANK YOU THANK...

Not even going to flubb a false review..... The communication, hands down, was OUTSTANDING! I have never had a storage unit before and im in the process of relocating jobs due to covid and my work shutting down....

Mary was a rock star! She is super sweet and made sure that i wasn't getting more space than i needed. she was very logical and practical in helping me decide what was best for what i have....Not too much, and not too little. I work retail and customer service is a big deal, even to this day. Mary was the whole package deal, as if you were you going home to see your favorite relative. My mother turned me to this place and she talked very highly of it... and i was not disappointed.

The units are all very clean, getting around the units is very simple. There is hardly any issues getting in and out. Everything is simple, and simple means more.

The prices on the units are very affordable, even with todays world.

but what makes this place stand out the most is Mary, with customer service like that, its hard to say no when someone is taking an interest into helping you and working with your needs. A price like that, cant be beat..
