I had the most amazing experience and a wonderful display at customer service today at Ambiance in Eastgate by so many employees. I scheduled a deluxe pedicure for 1:30PM, and found myself running late when some roads were unexpectedly closed and heavy and closed. I attempted to call to give them a heads up that I was running late, but couldn't make the call without taking my eyes off the road. I tossed my phone in the passengers seat, and continued the drive there. No big deal, I'll run out and get it in the car, but then I couldn't find it in my car. Long story short, when I tossed my phone in the passengers seat, I must have missed it and it fell on the side and then slid under the seat. I was wearing a new dress with pockets, and my concern was when I slid out of the car, it fell out on the ground beside my car not realizing. Everyone there was so wonderful in helping me find my car. The receptionist, Kendall, let me use hers to get Find My iPhone when the person I called at home couldn't figure out how to use find my iPhone. And Hal came out and helped me look in my car, eventually finding it. Hal also did my pedicure, and it was excellent. I'm a runner, and I've got some janky feet (calluses, a curved second toenail) and I've definitely felt embarrassed in the past, but this was a no-judgment place where I felt very taken care of and had no embarrassment! It was awesome. I have a fantastic person who takes care of my toenails semi-regularly, but she works inside her home (she's licensed) and primarily works with diabetics (I'm not diabetic) and because of that, she's nervous she will accidentally burn someone who has numb feet. She understandably doesn't use hot towels or hot stones. While she is awesome, sometimes you just want a little extra pampering, and Ambiance absolutely fits the bill with the hot stone massages, hot towels, and the lovely massage chairs. :). It was all around excellent. This was my second time at Ambiance Eastgate. The first time was also excellent, but I forgot to leave a review, but I absolutely wasn't going to forget this time. Thanks again to the excellent staff who checked in to make sure I did find my phone, to Kendall for helping me out and using hers, and to Hal for helping me find it in my car. They absolutely went...
Read moreMy daughter and I visited on 1/18/25. We had basic pedicures. I had Pauline and she was phenomenal! My daughter's technician was kind but didn't work on her calises. We didn't get polish so there was plenty of time to address calises (my tech did). I even politely asked her if perhaps she could focus on her calises. The owner/manager was walking by and immediately interjected himself into the conversation. He assured me she would. So, she got out the grater, put a clear product on it and wiped it on her calises. She rinsed them and let the water out. She never grated her calises..at all. My daughter wouldn't say anything. I paid them and tipped them both. Before leaving I politely approached the owner/manager and shared that he may want to educate the technician. He immediately called her to the front (in front of customers) and asked her if she used the grater. She said she did. Then he said he saw the grater and it was dirty. I made it clear I wasn't asking for anything (refund, discount, ect) but her calises weren't grated. He said I'LL GO LOOK AT THE CAMERAS! I told him that was fine but he wasn't listening. He was so rude and defensive. I was talking quietly and was very kind and he made a spectacle of it. I was so upset. I called after I left and shared how embarrassing that was and how poor his customer service was. The person on the phone apologized. I shared that we had been there multiple times and never had an issue and reiterated I wasn't asking for anything, other than the tech receive instruction. My goal is for him to see this review and reeconsider his approach with reasonable customers. The review is strictly related to his conduct, not toward the technicians in any way. They were very kind. I felt horrible when he called her to the front...ugh. I'm sure there are people who complain to get money back or a discount, I get that. But, again, I asked...
Read moreOn June 27th, 2024 I had an appointment for myself, my daughter, and my now son-in-law to have manicures and pedicures for my daughter’s wedding that Saturday. I made sure to let the reservationist know the services were for a wedding party, and requested a master technician for myself and my daughter’s nails. While I understand You can’t always sit next to One another, we couldn’t have been further apart. I was incredibly disappointed to learn after the fact that my daughter’s experience had gone incredibly poorly. What was meant to be a great experience to treat & pamper her few days before her wedding, turned into an awful & unnecessarily stressful experience. My daughter’s nails were not the color that she requested, the technician (Jenny) was incredibly rude and unhelpful, my daughter’s nails were cut unevenly & she had several nicks and bleeding cuticles. Jenny made my daughter cry, asked her what she was crying about, & then didn’t speak to her the remainder of the service. I was asked to pay for all of our services before we were finished, and my nails were still wet. Had I unknown all of this was happening, and that the quality of the service was going to be so poor, I would have refused to pay full price. Instead, paid more than $380 plus tips, only to be very upset & unhappy. I called the next day to speak to the manager, who while apologetic, only offered to take $50 off my next service when I come in. We will never be coming into that location again, and that was not an adequate way to handle such an incredibly abusive Customer Service experience. If you can’t be kind to people, or even try to make a bride feel beautiful for her wedding day, perhaps you shouldn’t be working...
