Unfortunately a bad experience 360 degrees... We arrived at the valet where we found two of the guys shadowboxing each other. I'm not sure I would trust my vehicle with them No greeting at the front entrance..hmmm.... We took the elevator to the third floor to look at baby furniture. There were two women conversing together on the computer. We started looking at the baby furniture, opening drawers checking out the different styles seeing how the material is made. We are in the far back room for approximately 30 mins yet no one came to us to ask us if we needed help. There was one sales person that had come in and out working with another customer. It would only be considered reasonable for her to mention it to the other sales people to come see us or ask if we needed help... Didn't happen. I walked over to the two women that were conversing on the computer who never looked up once, and I asked if they worked here. The one closest to me looked up and said yes...and that was about it she just said yes...I waited 20 seconds and I said can you help me with an item in the other room. She said yes. I walked back into the other room in a bit of frustration and finally after about 3 minutes she walked in. She was okay, not super healthful,c ..they dont know me but it's not atypical for me to buy 50-100k $ of furniture at a time ... We asked if they had a chair in organic cotton. They said no they have it in linen of different kinds, and suede. She didn't offer to show me any of the fabrics. I had to ask for that.... Finally we came down to the one that I wanted. I said okay we'll take this one. At that point she told me that it would be 3 months to receive the product. I asked her why would it be ...she said its custom order. I said okay how about the one that was considered stock...she looked at her computer and told me that would take a little over a month. I said do you have these in stock at your distribution center and she said yes and then I asked why then would it take a month or more to get it to me when literally you could have any White glove service deliver or whichever company, I don't care about the cost or you can have UPS drop it off they're not that big and they're not that heavy... She asked me if I wanted to speak to the manager, I said yes. We made it about three or four minutes and then decided to go to the restaurant. We told the host at the restaurant that we're looking to see the general manager if they could call him and have him come to me. 10 minutes later he got up to me and apologized for the delay. He was quite pleasant and stated though he cannot get the product any quicker. If an item is in one of their distribution centers which are in Atlanta or in California or wherever in the USA it really shouldn't take more than a week to get a product. Certainly a smart company wants to get their product out as fast as possible so that they could sell more and move the inventory. I have concerns about long-term success of RH, when I read this and many other reviews written about the California main location. I plan to call the CEO's office on Monday and see what type of response I get and based on that I will add to my report. The food at the restaurant was good in the service was excellent. The furniture store should only be half as good. Of note the quality of each items are very variable... some dove tailed with rollers, some don't close well, some end butted...I asked twice to the salesperson do they not put rollers on the drawers because of child safety and the salesperson gave me some dumb answer like each vender is different...great salespersons understand the product really well and safety for children. I spent only the food costs are the...
Read moreFor a blend of elegance combined with modern allure, the Rooftop Restaurant at the Restoration Hardware (500 Okeechobee BLVD, WPB) offers a royal ambiance.
The Rooftop Restaurant (RR) is part of an opulent and grossly expensive furniture store named the Restoration Hardware that should grace Worth Avenue where only the prosperous people on Palm beach island can afford those riches, instead of the West Palm Beach commoners. (I’m still trying to figure out how that name fits a posh furniture emporium).
Upon my first glance, I was frozen by elations from the visual feast. The main dining terrace, bathed in natural daylight under a glass canopy, featured a perfectly balanced greenery and a massive crystal chandelier above a soothing water fountain—reminiscent of New York's Tavern on the Green.
We arrived at 11:30 am, were immediately ushered to a cozy banquette corner table, as horde of people began to eagerly invade the palace. I was expecting that this would turn into a runway for Botox and implants, instead it filled with locals, maybe tourists dressed in Levy’s, knit shirts, and Sketchers sneakers, as if the restaurant was snubbed by the Palm Beach residents for RR not being on Worth Ave.
At that time of the day, they offer a brunch menu, and yes, it was pricey. Our brunch consisted of a bowl of scrambled eggs ($22, but for $25 more, you can kick it up with winter truffles – good thing they ran out of truffles during our visit), a Lox board ($28), an avocado toast ($20), 2 burgers ($38 each).
I must admit that while the prices are on the higher side, the exceptional quality of every dish justifies the cost. As for the burger, it was the utmost best burger I’ve ever eaten in my 70 revolutions around the sun.
Folks, unless you live in WPB, it’s worth the trip, and you don’t need to pretend to be a royalty to dine in that...
Read moreEveryone was wonderful and the furnishings were beautiful but I was a bit disappointed because I thought these large galleries were to have everything or close to it in stock and on the floor for display. Sadly this was not the case at all and only a small portion of what I was hoping to see was on display. That is the only disappointment though - otherwise RH is always great, especially the customer service! I know this is just one store and not the company overall but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that I order from their catalogues and website quite often and they are such a pleasure to do business with, always ready to help make the best of any situation and go above and beyond in any way they are able ... just to make the customer happy. Customer Service is everything to me so when I find businesses that excel in their customer care I tend to not only be loyal but also a “brand ambassador” in that I tell everyone I know how great they are :)
One other thing to mention - I highly recommend that you try eating at the cafe on the top floor (sorry, I don’t recall the name of it!). We were surprised at how delicious everything was! The menu is limited but everything you get is absolutely fantastic, like in a 5 star restaurant! Our service there was also phenomenal - our waitress was on point and extremely warm and friendly. I would actually make the trip up there (about 45 Min to an hour drive in light traffic) JUST to eat there again! Great and unique...
