As the operator of a highly-rated cultural food tour in Miami, we have high standards when taking other tours. This has to be one of the best food tours we've ever taken.
West Palm Beach is about an hour north of Miami and we decided to enjoy this Sunday exploring other foods in South Florida.
While it was hot and humid, we didn't mind as we are native Floridians. Plus the restaurants had nice cool air condition. We absolutely loved that the restaurants were not crowded (low season). Outdoors was also not crowded in-between stops that we could take great photos.
Our tour guide Raheem was the absolute best! First he was passionate about everything--the food, the people (from the owners to the cooks and wait staff), and the history of West Palm Beach. Raheem was eloquent, funny, thoughtful, answered questions, and took photos.
The food selections were a great variety from seafood, Japanese, French American, and special desserts. We loved every morsel. The flavors, textures, and stories behind each food item and the person who prepared it were fabulous.
Now we don't want to spoil the surprise of mentioning the stops. Trust me you want to enjoy the storytelling and culmination of each food stop. Especially loved the finale, a special treat.
Take this tour on your first day in West Palm Beach as you'll want to revisit some restaurants and try other ones nearby. As locals, the guides can offer other helpful suggestions of what to see and do!
Kudos to the owner (a woman-owned business-hurray!) for this top notch operation and to Raheem for a well curated tour.
We are definitely coming back for the Happy Hour...
Read moreKristl, you made our day extra special and wonderful! Your hospitality, knowledge of the WPB area, and courtesy was top notch :)
Though we have a place only 20 minutes away, you showed us the easiest (and most cost effective!) spot to park and made us feel like locals. It will make it far easier now to travel down to WPB and Palm Beach knowing where we're going :)
Kapow was wow! We are going again later this week with family. Everyone who we met was so kind, especially the chef at Ganache who showed us how to extract coconut water from a young coconut. The key lime pies were delightful! For someone who doesn't like coffee, Salento may change my mind :) E.R. Bradley's was a very cool spot and the croque monsieur at Pistache was terrific!
And that little hint of coconut ice cream at Sloan's? It was an unexpected visit with a touch of perfection.
Thank you for acknowledging our honeymoon with the delicious carrot cake from Ganache...we enjoyed it immensely when we returned home.
We will be back again - and will try out the Prohibition Tour next!!
Thank you...
