We have stayed here for many years. This year was quite a shock to us. We paid a lot of money to be disappointed. I realize COVID halted a lot of the workers who provide the services but the price should reflect that. No daily maid service, the office closed requiring us to walk to another motel’s office and no management available to see the craziness that went on. Being a return customer for so many years we expected to be appreciated, not just given excuses for everything. If they didn’t have the workers maybe we should’ve been informed of this and given the opportunity to cancel with a refund of our deposit.
I clearly understand about the maid service and lack of. That was the least of our concerns. The main concern was for our safety. That was not a “rowdy crowd” that was domestic violence and child abuse. If management would have come around they would have seen and heard what we went through. There were people yelling obscenities so much so that the neighboring motel people were out on their balconies watching and listening. The small children of the parents causing the ruckus were scrambling to hide from the police. The patio chairs and tables were being thrown around, slamming doors, punching walls. This was not something to be taken lightly. This affected our vacation and we left the motel early. No refund was given to us. All that was asked is that we leave the keys!!! It’s sad that you want to lose valued returnOmg customers for the sake of bringing in the “rowdy” groups.
The smell of marijuana was so strong in my room but had nothing to do with us. The lack of management concern IS NOT due to COVID.
Cigarette butts scattered around the property.
We could rarely use the pool because anyone in Wildwood could use it, guest or not. Balls being thrown, cannonballs being performed all in a small pool, kids eating whatever at the pool with seagulls swooping in was not fun.
Like I said, COVID can be used as an excuse for some things but lack of care and compassion for your valued clientele is not a...
Read moreThis place does not need me to give them a five star review...but they are going to get one anyway.
The staff is exceptional. Professional, accommodating, kind and present. They watch over the facility very well which translates to great security. They are on call 24 / 7 during the season.
Rooms were spotless. Very clean and well tended to.
Pool area is nice and big enough for a dip to cool off at end of the day. Lounge chairs are perfect for a dry off snooze...or a sudoku challenge.
The clientele were nice. Not one person that I met was noisy, rude or obnoxious in any way.
The hotel has a list of very strict rules that all guests must sign and agree to.
Some of the are:
No radios on the pool deck. (Headphones are fine)
No visitors on the premises (To prevent an influx of unsupervised teens)
No smoking (I like that one...I don't smoke)
No spray on suntan lotion (I use the regular bottle)
All guests must wear the hotel wristband.
Whatever....these rules are not intrusive and help to maintain the family and quiet atmosphere.
Other things...
The parking lot is a little tight, but they saved me a spot for my pickup truck with a cone.
They play The Bridge from Sirius XM on the pool deck, but they don't blare it.
Good ice machine and wifi.
Location is perfect. Walk to all boardwalk attractions.
What are you waiting for...if you are coming to wildwood, this is the place you want to stay.
Thanx Sea-n-sun for another...
Read moreThis is the 2nd year that we have stayed at this hotel. It won us over the first year and we swore we would come here again. The hotel is beyond clean and the staff is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. We were looking for restaurants and the front desk told us what they thought were good places to eat. The pool is well kept up, and the grounds are amazingly clean. We live in Western New York, so the trip is about 8 hours of exhaustion. It's nice to know that you will be able to relax immediately upon arriving. Last year won us over.... This year took the cake. We met amazing people at the pool from all over. The gentlemen in the office make it a point to come out and say hello whenever they can. However, this year, my daughter was using my iWatch while we were there. When we left, she forgot it in the room, even though we looked everything over. We didn't realize it until well after we were home and putting stuff away. I immediately called the hotel and explained that I think we forgot the watch. The gentleman on the phone assured us that we had..... and that he had the watch. Before I could say anything, he said that he was powering the watch down since it was left on, and he would mail it to us immediately. He did not ask for money or anything. This was not his mistake, it was ours, and his selflessness indeed means this is a forever choice for us when we go to...
