Cruise'n on Route 66 (a retail store) — Attraction in Williams

My husband and I travel the country and always visit the local gifts shops to browse and pick up trinkets but this was our first experience of staff following us and lurking around like we were common thieves. It was very off putting and I almost put the things I had selected to purchase down and walked out because I did not want to patronize a business that would treat customers that way but at that point they had made us so uncomfortable that I was afraid if I walked out without purchasing something that they would call the police and accuse us of stealing something. We were there last week on Wednesday April 17th and it was a middle aged couple. If they are the owners they should know that people always come in the shops to browse and look around and you shouldn’t so rudely follow them around!!! Excellent service, selection, and price! Went in with my wife and kids. We always try and make sure our kids are not touching and messing with EVERYTHING in a store. The nice gentleman behind the counter noticed how good the kids were behaving and asked if he could give them a couple of candies. They were so happy, and I was very proud of them.

The store is larger, clean, and well lit. It has a large and diverse selection of items. From shirts, magnets, hats, toys, and trinkets to some of the more nostalgic and nicer handmade and quality items. They were all reasonably priced, too. I went in to browse at this shop with my brother and boyfriend while my mom was getting gas and the worker just followed us around from the moment we stepped in. We looked at some jewelry and the Christmas section and the guy came up to us saying if we are “messing around” we need to get out. We literally just looked at some jewelry and candles but okay. So if your looking to just check out a cool shop don’t go here cus they just think your a thief or maybe they were just profiling us, because there were plenty others...
