We stayed there the night of 12/27/23. The temperature outside was below freezing around 27F. The heater went out middle of the night and later the power went out as well. The room started to get cold, and there were no additional (back-up) blankets in the room. I put on all the jackets we got but worried it might not be enough, and that we might catch a cold during the night. I called the front and they said they are working on resetting the breaker. After about 20 min, the power came back on and I had to turn-off and then turn-on the heater for it to work again. This power going out and on happened about 4 more times that evening. Each time, I had to reset the heater for it to work again; and each time not knowing if we will have heater for the rest of the night. It has caused us unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and not to mention it could outright be dangerous with no heater in freezing temperature. The heater finally stayed on for the rest of the night, but I could no longer sleep peacefully not knowing if it's going to go out again. If you are managing a motel in a place with freezing winter climate, you ought to make sure your heater better be in working condition. And how feasible was it to change motel in the middle of a freezing night in a tourist place during the holidays? The next day I asked the front how would they compensate for what happened, the young man said he had fixed the problem and so won't give any credit or refunds or partial refunds. I said I'll call my credit card company. He said he has my signature for the charge, so he is not worried. Won't ever come back even if they pay...
Read moreWe had a warm welcome despite the last minute booking and late hour, after a 4 ½ hour drive, having evacuated from the Grand Canyon North Rim fire. Our host was very kind and generous. I’m not saying you should plan it that way, but this motel is ideal if you have a late arrival. Most reception/ check-in desks in Williams shut at 11pm. We headed back to Williams because it was safe and had tourist amenities, but most importantly, American Regency Inn would still be open.||||Comfortable room with large comfortable King bed. Proper heavy wooden furniture. Good air conditioning. 2 chairs & 2 bedside tables with ability to charge phones; fridge; soap and sachets of other toiletries. Immaculate sheets and towels. Possibly the bathroom floor could have done with an additional sweep, but otherwise was very clean and exceeded my expectations. Very generous with coffee and other amenities in the room. We mentioned something extra, that we wouldn’t necessarily expect, and he brought it to our room straight away.||||I read a review which mentioned stuff outside the room. We wouldn’t have noticed the few leaves which must have blown over during the day, but our host was sensitive and picked them up. I feel petty mentioning it, but some readers might want to know that particular point has been addressed. Far more importantly, it illustrates an attitude of listening to feedback and taking action. ||||The quality of the room was good, and yes we were lucky to find somewhere that we could check in late, but it was the host and his outstanding customer service which were the game changer. We would absolutely stay here again as our...
Read moreUnorganized and unsafe. I'm sure there's worse places but this has been my worst experience personally. For starters, I don't think they always collect key cards or change door lock readers between guests.
I booked two nights here. On the way there they said they were trying to call me because the room I booked was now under maintenance. I never got a call, email, or a voicemail. They moved me to an upgraded room free of charge.
However, maybe 30 minutes after bringing my stuff in, I'm startled by 3 people trying to open the door to my room. Mind you it's about 10pm and I'm alone. After looking out the window later I found out it was a family of 3 who'd booked my room and I was probably given their room by accident. Simple mistake I guess, but that's one of 3 major issues.
I left my wallet in my room after I'd left for the day. When I came back, room service had returned it to the desk but the $40 left with it was not found (of course). Was a little frustrated, but blamed myself.
The last straw was when I returned the evening of my 2nd night to find a couple already in my room. Apparently the person who returned my wallet told the front desk I'd checked out even though I still had my key card (and it still worked!) They reimbursed me, but I pretty much had nowhere else to stay for the night. I got so frustrated I just said forget it and drove 3 hours home even though it was late.
They still never asked for the key card back. I still have it and I'm sure...
