During my recent visit to Urban Fresh Cafe, I ordered a salad but ultimately chose not to consume it due to hygiene concerns. A single staff member handled multiple responsibilitiesâserving as cashier, sandwich maker, salad assembler, and waitress. Regrettably, I observed that she did not wash her hands after handling money and payment cards, and before directly touching the food. No gloves were used during food preparation, which heightened my concerns. Always expecting a no, the lady actually said YES. And that she could make me a salad sandwich. Absolute miracle. It was light and lovely. They also had lactose free milk and made me a really nice coffee. Being from Melbourne, I am snooty when it comes to coffee and it was nice.
