We came here like 5 years ago, the food was delicious. When I searched it again on our visit here the reviews, I saw 4.3 stars and thought wow it must be good still. Upon arrival we were greeted by a kind lady and young man. We were seated and asked for drinks. We ordered a coffee and earl grey tea. Looking at the menu there was delicious items. As it was breakfast, we ordered 1.) Sausage, spinach mushroom omelette with hash browns on the side and 2 pieces of fruit- watermelon & orange slice, side of toast which We chose sourdough 2.) Sasquatch breakfast, 3 sunny side eggs, hash browns, ham, sausage and bacon with 2 pieces of fruit watermelon and orange slices, side of toast which we chose sourdough. The 2 pieces of fruit one being watermelon and orange slices were not fresh, old and tasteless. The 1 piece of toast was overly toasted and had a lot of butter of 1 piece of toast. The eggs for the omelette were rubbery. The hash browns were undercooked compared to photos (from the menu and previous reviews) The waiter did not ask us how food was the first few bites were didn’t check to make sure we didn’t need more or etc. When he came by to ask if we were ready to pay, he just brought a machine not asking how we are paying or what the total of our bill was until I the customer asked how much it was. The setting of the cafe and quite was nice minus hearing a older gentleman (possibly owner or manager) criticizing the workers (doing and not doing) telling them to not speak to one another till tasks are finished etc. It is disheartening to hear the authority in a quite setting in front and around customer. Perhaps a team meeting or private place is better for such conversations. And clearly more training to the waiter who is new or has this as...
Read moreI didn’t expect much after the experience we had with the hotel, but this was worse than I could have imagined. We only came because the hotel gave us a “free breakfast”. We learned the restaurant came under new management only a few weeks ago (July 2025) so I don’t know what this place was like previously. The Continental Breakfast has your typical cereal, muffins and croissants and there are hard boiled eggs, toast and you can get fresh fruit and yogurt if you ask. Wouldn’t say it’s worth $14, but it’s palatable. The menu, however, was frankly, false advertising. I went to order the eggs Benedict, which said it was on an English Muffin (as you would expect) and apparently there was no English Muffins, just toast. The All Day Breakfast stated eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and toast. The “sausage” was literally hot dog wieners. I ordered the spicy skillet, which was supposed to have scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, spicy sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms. I asked if my eggs could be done over-easy (fried) and the server asked if I meant sunny-side up. I said sure, and got eggs that were still uncooked (whites weren’t even “set” as is typical with a proper sunny-side up egg, they were fully runny). The “spicy sausage” was again - hot dog wieners. I also didn’t get any peppers. I sent it back and didn’t bother to order anything else. The server was very nice, and understood our complaints. In the end he didn’t charge for my meal and comped part of the other meal. Hopefully the message is passes to management and they sort out the issues. All in all, not impressed and definitely don’t recommend at this time. If you eat here, ask very detailed questions about what...
Read moreUnfortunately we did not have a good experience from start to finish & neither did the other table beside us in there today. It was not busy with only 3 tables when we got there and none by the time we left. First I had to try to wipe the crumbs off the table (some were stuck on) using the menu. Then our order of a chicken Caesar wrap W/fries & bacon cheeseburger took 50 minutes to be served from ordering. The wrap was very small for $16.50 & the bacon cheeseburger came with no bacon but had jalapeños instead. The waitress asked if we mentioned the bacon when ordering & when we said yes she offered to cook some bacon, bring it out & put it on ourselves. We asked for another burger since my partner didn’t like jalapeños. It came faster than 50 minutes but we will never know if they just cooked bacon & put it on in the back. We then heard the table beside us having the same issue with their order. By this time the third table that was there has left and it was just us two tables. The table in front of me had the customers leaving when we got there & the table never got cleaned by the time we left. We asked for our bill but think she forgot because she started cleaning the table from the third table that left midway through. We got the bill 5 minutes after that & asking twice. The bathroom was not cared for & I had to search for the toilet paper. The cooks were sitting behind the counter on their phones when I walked to the bathroom & back. We paid with the other table & couldn’t get out...
