Pension U Soudu — Hotel in okres Český Krumlov

This tiny little pension is located on Linecka, close to everything. The spacious accommodation was a pleasant surprise. The room for five people turned out to be a two bedroom apartment with a big bathroom and a wonderfully self contained kitchen. The place was spotless and secure. We were provided with lots of towels, toiletries, tea-bags, sugar, lots of cupboard space and a beautiful view of the square. It was a place where we could have spent weeks rather than one night. There was hot water, good Wifi, and a fridge. The owners were very kind, helpful and accomadating. There was some mistake in our booking and instead of 5 only 4 beds were booked. But the owners were very understanding about this and did not ask for any extra payment. Each time we entered the rooms our key would not turn, the boy who worked there came and opened the door everytime for us. He also guided us to the cheapest grocery store in the area. I recommend to avoid this B&B. The host is an aggressive psycho - verbally, but he seemed to have been ready to use violence. Our fault was that we were late at the premises due to a car accident we experienced on a highway. His aggression and anger were suprising, no chance to negotiate anything. At 9 pm, after 13 hrs driving, we were left without a room in a foreign town, fully booked. We had to pay 40 euros anyway, as booking.com emailed me. I though that in this case I was entitled to at least park my car on the B&B's parking lot, since I am to pay for that. When we came back from the center an hour later, our car had been arrested by two metal poles and chaines with locker. This pension provided an inexpensive stay between my 2 friends and myself. It simply offered the basics. Our rooms were clean and functional with necessities provided. Large windows were available to open to allow cool breezes. The proprietor was not especially friendly; however, we chalked that up to language barriers.
