CHOCAFÉ — Restaurant in Prague

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Hands down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a breakfast spot. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, it was beyond disappointing. Everything tasted incredibly bland, like they forgot what seasoning is. The portions were tiny — definitely not worth the price. The pancakes? Absolutely awful. Dry, flavorless, and barely edible.

The beer they served was piss warm — literally undrinkable. After forcing ourselves through this disaster of a meal, we all felt really sick afterwards.

On top of that, they were out of half the meals on the menu. Seriously? For a breakfast spot, unacceptable.

And to make it worse, the service was rude. When I politely pointed out the issues, the waitress actually said “you can handle it, you’re a big boy.” Absolutely...

This chocolate cafe had my very favorite hot chocolate. The blueberry pancakes were amazing too. We loved sitting outside and taking everything in. We were in Prague for a month so we were coming 2-3 times a week for the first couple weeks but for some reason we felt like the guy that worked there wasn’t a fan of ours, so we stopped going. On one visit I was sitting outside when a sweet British couple asked for help with directions so I went inside to ask but sort of felt like the older of the two men who work there was making fun of me for it. I was just trying to be kind to an elderly couple, so that was confusing. He looked my way, spoke in Czech to a local visitor, and they laughed. After that he was always unfriendly. lol I get the feeling that maybe he’s just annoyed with tourists and thought I was dumb for not knowing how...

We went there for fondue unfortunately it was not classic fondue. It was only small mug of hot chocolate, no fondue set. With that we were bit dissapointed. There are no questions from staff before ordering what chocolate would you prefer so if your kids prefer milk chocolate, be prepared to mention that by ordering. I thought there will be like two kinds of chocolate automatically, unfortunately not. Staff - ladies were really kind however the style of main waiter was not our “cup of tee”. We were there for hour I think and he came only at the beginning, no service after that. This was very strange when comparing the other coffee where we were.
