After a long and exhausting search in expensive Copenhagen we found this hotel offering the best price/quality/location ratio. We booked it some 6 months prior to our travel, monitored it over that time, but the price never went down (instead went higher). Overall, we're very satisfied with it with only objection rooms to be improved. The absolute best this hotel offers is its terrific staff - all personnel is so kind and welcoming. Other aspects I'll list below.
LOCATION: Very good, 5 min walk to CPH central station which is the main transport hub offering train, metro and bus service all over CPH and Denmark. Moreover, the Flixbus stop we arrived from Germany is literally in front of the hotel.
LOBBY, BREAKFAST and ROOMS: Lobby is big and bright, with many seating options both, inside and outside on hotel's traffic free outdoor premises. Across that outdoor space to the left, in a separate building, breakfast is served - a very good one, better than I expected. If in doubt to book breakfast or not, YES do it, as CPH is a very expensive city. Rooms are a bit outdated, as well the long corridors leading to them. No wardrobe closet, nor a minibar/fridge which are minuses. Fairly big bathroom. Considering the noise other reviewers spoke about, we had no issues with that, despite the fact we were literally across the tracks. When sitting outside on the room balcony it's annoying, however when you shut the terrace door we heard almost nothing - seems to be good sound isolation.
POOL: One of the biggest advantages. It is attached to the hotel and you access it through the hotel, without going outside. You just need to get your free ticket beforehand at reception as the pool complex is public and one of the biggest in the city. It is open from early morning till late at night, and you can go as many times you wish. Pool area consists of two large areas - one circular with two pools for swimming and other part with thermal heated pools and hot tubs. Great way to...
Read moreI truly don’t understand where all the positive reviews come from. The reality of this hotel is far from what is shown in the pictures. Our room is absolutely disgusting – there is a thick layer of dust covering almost every surface, which became especially visible in the morning sunlight coming through the window. It clearly hasn’t been properly cleaned in a long time.
The bathroom is even worse. I’ve attached photos so you can see for yourself – dust, mold, and a disgusting, dirty shower curtain. It felt unsafe and unhygienic even to step inside with flip-flops on.
After checking in and seeing the room, we complained at the reception. We were told to come back in the morning because “we are fully booked”. The next day, we were promised that a clean, new room would be ready for us in the evening. However, when we returned that evening, we were told we should have checked out by 11 AM to be able to move to the new room – something no one had informed us about. So we went to the front desk again, only to hear once more “we are fully booked”. Once again, we had no choice but to return to that same horrible room. Now we are being told to come back to reception in the morning again. This is just ridiculous.
This entire experience has been frustrating and frankly unacceptable. I would never stay here again and seriously question how this place continues to receive such high ratings. Please think twice...
Read moreWe stayed here during my boyfriend's birthday trip and we couldn't be more grateful for the front desk team! They couldn't do enough for us! Provided us with the best recommendations, they were extremely friendly and approachable and made our whole stay memorable! The rooms are very stylish, the bed is extremely comfortable and the location is amazing! Only a few minutes away from the central train station and the metro. They provided lots of fresh fruit & veggies for breakfast, and everything else you'd need to set you up for a good day (trust me - i am a nutritionist!) They have lots of sport facilities, including a massive swimming pool (it was closed due to renovation during our stay, but we didnt mind it, we went for a swim in the sea instead). They have an amazing coffee area by reception with ping pong, jenga, darts and lots of boardgames to keep both young and older guests (including my boyfriend 😂) entertained. I took my own earplugs, because the hotel is close to the railway and I slept like a baby! Please don't listen to the negative reviews, this hotel has everything you need, despite it being only 3 stars. People need to learn to be more open-minded and easy-going! There are way too many Karens out there! Hope this review helps, and you enjoy Copenhagen just as...
