Halmtorvet 9 — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Had a Christmas dinner (Julefrokost) with our company here. The food was ok (not exciting, but ok) and the dancing/bar arrangement after was also ok (getting mixed with the rest of the bar after a specific time).

The 2/5 stars come due to the fact that despite our ask to get less alcohol bottles than initially arranged, we were not allowed (as we would be charged the full price). When having them served (and being more than we could consume with the people that were left for the party), we were not allowed to take the bottles home (precinted, still to be opened), return them (and getting some money back, even if partial), or share with other party-goers (as we would be dumping the price of the bar).

I can’t recomend the arrangement because of the encouragement to waste alcohol, and the lack of flexibility on getting a more reasonable setup — especially as the dinner had not been outstanding.

To go party it can...

We went to bingo here in December 2022. Each paid 50kr each to join - no problem at all. In the end we won and we were given a few gift cards with total value of 3000kr, although we were told that we would need to come back a few days later to pick up the actual gift cards.

It has now been a year of back and forth and they have still not given us the gift cards. We’ve sent MULTIPLE emails and have gotten multiple replies saying that they are working on it, that it’s still in processing, and where we have been passed on to different people (some people who we have asked for in person and who don’t seem to exist).

We come here every week (and have been for over a year) and it’s disappointing to be let down so many times.

At this point it would be better to just admit that the gift cards were fake (I am assuming) than to continue...

This is the sad place. Actually the place is not bad but the security and the people who monitor (I don’t know who they are) the crowd are horrible. We have been told that we have to keep pur jacket multiple times while others are wearing the same. We told them that we are leaving in 10 min as we don’t want to keep our jacket. After 2 minutes, one security guy came to me and said that he had to tell me something outside. I knew that we had been kicked out and I said we were leaving. Even i was voluntarily leaving, the security guy was pushing me away. I had been to many places and this is the place where sad people are deployed. So make sure that you keep your jack before getting into this sad place. I am not going there...
