[American Tourist Review] We came for dinner on Copenhagen Marathon close to closing and was met with probably the busiest restaurant we visited on our 2 week long Scandinavian vacation: not sure if the immense traffic was because of the big event or it normally is very busy! The food, as a Seattle-ite, was AMAZING. me and my partner joked that all we had to do to get "real" American barbecue was travel to Denmark. Because we came so late we were lucky to grab at least a slice of brisket and dinosaur Rib, but both were DELICIOUS and the meat was falling off the bone. The sides were great as well, and there was a good selection of homemade sauces that were all good. You order first and then find a seat later, which unfortunately fueled the lower scores due to how busy it was. Service was enough to get people in and out (we basically only talked to the worker providing the food and cashing us out, and the bartender who again, was just focused on getting drinks out fast), and atmosphere was busy and loud (which isn't a problem if you know what you're getting into). Large selection of outdoor seating, however the night we went was SUPER busy and even outdoor seating looked to be at capacity. Overall, amazing food and highly recommend.

I grew up in Kansas City, the capital of BBQ USA. I’ve eaten some of the best BBQ in the world around the country. Every show, blog, video, website, testimonial, interview, and book listed Warpigs as the best BBQ in Copenhagen, so we had to try it. I ordered 1/4 lb of brisket because brisket is the true litmus test of the quality of a BBQ restaurant. I took one bite and spat it out. Brisket was seasoned fine (Texas style) but was overcooked. Like eating dry beef jerky. You know when you overcook a chicken breast, it shreds apart in long dry muscle-y strands of meat? That’s what happened here. Very disappointing especially considering I order slices from the point, which is supposed to be fattier and moister. I feel bad for the locals that don’t know what they’re missing, but I suppose, if you can’t get the real thing, this is as close as you can get. Staff and atmosphere are all great, especially on a sunny day. But if you’re coming solely for the BBQ…don’t.

Warpigs have a great concept. Fantastically prepared barbecue, choose-your-own-adventure menu and micro-brewery beer or a fun soda refill station. While the restaurant itself was atmospheric and the servers were polite, but quickly on to the next customer (can’t blame them), I wasn’t blown away by the food. The pulled pork and brisket had a nice smoky flavour and looked fantastic, but were quite dry. It had a little bit of a “prepared in advance” feel to it. Others in my party, said their’s were juicy, so I will chalk it down to a bad batch. However, the sausages were great and the sides were all super tasty, and despite the above mentioned, I felt regret that I didn’t also try the spareribs and burger, so I will for sure come back to try those at some point! I have never had a proper American barbecue, so I was not able to rate this meal on authenticity. This was based purely on my own expectation and opinion, until I go to Texas.

Warpigs Brewpub in Copenhagen is an absolute gem! With an impressive variety of craft beers, it's a paradise for any beer lover. Their selection ranges from rich, full-bodied stouts to crisp, refreshing IPAs, ensuring there's something to suit every palate. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax with friends or enjoy a casual evening out. The food is just as fantastic as the beer. The menu features delicious BBQ dishes that are packed with flavor, from tender brisket to mouthwatering ribs. The sides are equally satisfying, with options like tangy coleslaw and perfectly crispy fries. Every dish complements the beer selection beautifully. Whether you're a local or just visiting Copenhagen, Warpigs is a must-visit. The combination of top-notch beers, amazing food, and a great vibe makes it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

To be honest, i think this place is overhyped. I’ve been to many american smokehouse and this one has some ups and downs i felt like it’s very inconsistent. Now I understand the pricing as it takes a ton of work however they did not get everything right. Their sausages were good, their pulled pork was dry, their potatoes were fantastic, their pork ribs were super dry, their mac and cheese was too wet in my opinion and not cheesy enough, their beef ribs stole the show, it was incredible (even tho it didn’t seem like a dino rib to me it’s quite small), their brisket was okay and their beers were amazing too. Also the service was not that great, it’s the very first time i go to a restaurant and i felt like i was being kicked out because it was late, additionally the people working in there were not that friendly… the atmosphere was great tho, nice music.

Warpigs has an amazing selection of very tasty craft beer, we were sad we didn't have time to try every single beer on the menu as they all looked spectacular. The ones we did try exceeded expectations, we had some lovely double IPAs and stouts. The BBQ food was decent, we got the Trooper tray and enjoyed trying it all. Everything was very tasty, the brisket was a highlight. The pork was a little dry and the mac and cheese was only lukewarm and would have been nice a bit warmer. The key lime pie was absolutely beautiful, the best we've ever had! Ordering is super easy - you can order via QR code and have it brought to your table. The comfort level would be improved if there were chairs with backs, but I understand they're going for a certain vibe with the long benches. All in all, a great place with amazing beer and we'd definitely return.
