I had a great time at Merryland Hotel. I ended up staying about a week. I really wanted a hotel that was very close (easy walk) to Luxor Temple, was right on the Nile with a great view across to the West Bank, and was affordable. Merryland was the best fit for all these things, and my room was only about 750 Egyptian pounds (currently about $15) per night! The restaurant up top has the best view and I became good friends with all staff who were not only very kind, but they went out of their way to help me in a tricky situation, when I lost my debit card and had to cancel it! They took very good care of every need, and also helped me hire a car to get to other sites nearby. Here is the amazing view of the Theban Hills on the West Bank from the restaurant, early in the morning when the hot air balloons fly! Highest recommendations! Merryland is where I will stay again, when I...

Read moreOur stay was very good. İt's a prime location. We were greeted by kind staff, and especially the manager Magdi was attentive throughout our stay. We had an issue with the lock of our room, and he immediately changed to another room. They were supportive to our needs when we wanted to extend our stay, and also when we choose to not extend our stay for the 3rd day. Helpful tips, and other services are also arranged. The staff all speaks good english. There are no seaside view rooms, but the rooftop, where they have breakfast and a full menu 24/7 has one of the best views in Luxor. Breakfast was quite good. I enjoyed seeing the Muslim boys school from our hotel window. İt was a cultural takeaway. İf you're looking for a budget stay with good services, without compromising on the experience, this hotel is a...
