Philippe Luxor Hotel — Hotel in Luxor City

i was with my family going from hurghada to luxor, we booked to go to philippe hotel at booking.com because the pictures looked promising. we did forgot to check the reviews so after we arrived at luxor we came to this hotel, it was a pretty long route from the hotel lobby to our room because the elevator was broken. after arriving at our room. it was absolute hell. this hotel is old, fridge doesnt work, no shampoo. i didnt even want to shower with just some random soap bar the view is okay. for the breakfast, i ate nothing, nothing looked appetizing. the pool at the rooftop, was not clear very green. dead insects i am very dissapointed but the service is okay. never be tricked...

We were so tired ( total 4 person). So despirately search for any apartments.|This hotel is close to the centre. One positive point.|Staff on reception so rough. They gave us room where either AC, either refrigerator didn't work, also beds so old. After speak with reception and decide to leave this hotel, they proposed to us two double rooms instead one big. Those two rooms better so much, not so big, but clean and AC work. So possible to sleep.|Only one positive thing in all hotel it was breakfast. Stayed here for 2 nights upon arrival the air conditioner in my room didn't work. Being the middle of summer with 40-degree temps outside it felt like an oven inside. Was moved to A different room where the shower didn't work. So I had a bath instead. On my last day here the water stopped running altogether in my room. It started again about an hour later. Free breakfasts were nice and the swimming on the top floor was also refreshing.
