Otiamo — Restaurant in Paris

While visiting Paris we were recommended this lovely trattoria by our hotel staff. Even it is Italian food restaurant we decided to check it anyway. It was an absolute discovery for us! Delicious food, amazing service and fantastic staff! After just one visit we felt like home and went for dinner every night while we stayed in Paris. Their signature dish pasta with truffles was incredible so we actually ate it twice during our stay, as well as their tuna and octopus carpaccio. Pizza Reina was also delicious, and lasagna too. We drank fabulous pink spritz and some ridiculously good Italian white wine. If you are in the Latin quarter area of Paris make sure to visit this wonderful little trattoria. My wife and I are retired teachers from San Diego and my wife's mission in life is to find a perfect lasagne !...Who knew it would happen 5 minutes from the apartment we are renting for a month near Notre Dame...Last night she found her perfect lasagne and I had a first for me: Octopus Carpaccio....sliced so thin it was more of a shaving....Perfectly seasoned and really unusual and delicious. We had a rose and a Montepulciano with the rest of dinner and finished with a glorious Tiramisu Pistachio....Truly one of our favorite meals of the trip....Our 2 servers: Laura and Brice were instrumental in the success of this birthday celebration for my wife....We are returning Saturday and can't wait.....Maybe see you there.......It was worth every...

Otiamo - A Hidden Gem in Rue de Bièvres

While wandering through a neighborhood I know well from my student years at ESTP, I stumbled upon Otiamo, an Italian restaurant tucked away on the historic Rue de Bièvres. It turned out to be a delightful find.

The food at Otiamo is excellent—full of rich, authentic flavours without any pretentiousness. They even went out of their way to make me a fantastic Limoncello Spritz. The service was equally impressive—personal and attentive.
