Palm Beach — Restaurant in Berlin

Myself and a group of friends travelling from Ireland decided to go into the bar for some lunch on our last day in Berlin. The waiter was very unfriendly, borderline rude to us. As we had been travelling all day we had water bottles with us, which he rudely asked us to put away. We then ordered drinks and when they were brought to us, not only was there a drink missing from the order, which he informed us he had forgotten about and did not apologise for, he placed the drinks in all the wrong places expecting us to move them. His all round attitude towards us was very hostile, which was very apparent to me as I work as a waitress myself. It began to rain outside so we decided to move inside into the warmth which was once again met with the feeling that we were a burden. The food was the only positive aspect of our visit. I had to leave earlier than the rest as I was catching a flight and so i requested to pay off my part of the bill. When the bill was brought over he informed us that he was not going to separate all our bills and that we would have to work it out for ourselves. His reasoning for this was that there were only 2 waitors on at the moment and he was too busy. This was a perfectly acceptable excuse however there were only 2 other tables occupied in the entire bar and he was not in fact busy. He then proceeded to point out that tips werent included which was already written at the end of the receipt. The bar was decorated really nicely and the food and drinks were lovely, however the service was really disappointing and was enough to ruin...

To all the tourists who wants visit here, you might be overcharged lots by some staffs there. Be careful don’t get rip off by them.

I went there on Christmas Eve and had a no sugar coke, sparking water, a aperil spirits, a pasta, I be charged 59 euro, they didn’t offer any bill and I didn’t realize it was a trick. We also paid another few dollars for their tips. I asked a receipt after I paid but I didn’t check at the time.

After i back to hotel I checked the receipt It’s only 39 euro we should pay. And it wasn’t a real receipt it’s more like a bill. it doesn’t shows any information of how much and the way I paid, only shows how much i have to pay.

It was awful experience to me because it’s first time I visited Berlin from Australia.

I wouldn’t recommend tourist to come here as they might rip off your money while you are relaxing on your holiday.

They did it on a Christmas Eve just make feelings awful wasted time to have awful memory at this restaurant!

Update 25/12/2023 I went to talk with their manager. He was nice and after understand what happened last night. He apologised for it and returned the amount...

Awful experience in this dive. Apparently you should know beforehand that they may add things to their meals that aren't included on the menu. And when you question this, the waiters treat you with utter disrespect and sarcasim, advising that mcdonalds don't advertise all that they put on their meals. Well i am not in mcdonalds and as a customer i have the right to question what is on my meal. Further more i do not expect to be told that i am in germany and this should be expected. I've never ever wrote a bad review online but this was probably the worst dining experience without actually having any food. If you want a bad experience with arrogant staff this is your place. If i had my way they wouldnt even get one star. Stay away, theres some really nice restaurants just...
