Chania Modern Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Great experience living among the locals. We had a little trouble finding the building after parking the car because the route was signposted as Kasteli Suites. There are two suites in this setup, each with its own door on opposite ends of the building. We had the one with the balcony. The place is quite spacious and well laid-out with a comfortable bed and powerful air-conditioning. It was particularly nice to have a coffee machine and fresh fruit provided. Location is excellent, with minimarts, the seafront and Old Town a few minutes' stroll away. A few niggles: the sofa and freezer could have been cleaner - there were some crumbs and hairs on/in both; there could have been a proper blanket instead of a thin sheet; the shower setup, though fascinating, couldn't maintain hot water for very long (maybe because of solar heating?); parking wasn't always available even when we were willing to pay the requisite €10/day. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Evlimeni suites. From the moment of booking, communication was one of the best I have ever experienced. Ilias immediately connected me to excursion and car rental companies to make our stay in Chania memorable. The apartment itself was great value for money as well; fantastic location just 3 mins walking from the main streets filled with stores, the apartment was clean and spacious, bedroom including bed one of the most comfortable we have stayed in and the terrace topped it off perfectly. The terrace is a great addition to have a nice breakfast or dinner and there are even two sunbeds to soak up some sun. 100% recommended and would stay here again if we were to...

Am Tag unserer Anreise (9.4.25) war ein Generalstreik in ganz Griechenland angekündigt. Unser Host teilte uns das nicht mit, obwohl der Streik fünf Tage im Voraus angekündigt war.

Wir wollten für drei Nächte in der Unterkunft verweilen, erhielten aber erst nach Ablauf dieser Zeit einen Ersatzflug. Der Host kam uns preislich nicht entgegen, sondern stornierte die Unterkunft. Aufgrund der Stornierung können wir nun keine Bewertung mehr bei Booking.com abgeben.

Wir haben den vollen Preis gezahlt, obwohl wir nicht eine Nacht in der Unterkunft verbringen konnten. Wir bekamen lächerliche sechs Euro zurück.

Noch am Tag vor unserer Anreise (als der Streik schon lange bekannt war) erhielten wir eine floskelhafte Nachricht vom Host zu unserer bevorstehenden Anreise.

Das ist alles sehr enttäuschend. Die Unterkunft kann daher nicht empfohlen werden. Individualtouristen ihr seid auf euch...
