DO NOT TRUST AND BOOK THIS PROPERTY from the management company called GREYSTONE. Avoid at all costs! You may end up homeless on the streets at night like me! I literally had to wait at the hotel lobby from pre check-in time at 2.30pm till almost 12am to engage my travel agent on alternative arrangements.
This property did not honor my Agoda booking, and my fully paid reservation was cancelled by them at the last minute only after I arrived for check-in, with the reason that an "incorrect rate" was offered to me.
The rate I had paid for wasn't a ridiculously low rate which could have raised my suspicions that it was an honest mistake of some sort, as it was about 30% lower than the rate that I had paid when I stayed with this same property just last month in November. Sounds like a good promo? NO. IT WAS THE START OF A TOTAL NIGHTMARE.
I was offered instead by the property's staff to book direct with the property but at a much higher price than the price I had a confirmed booking for on Agoda, after being informed that they cancelled on me. Fellow travellers, does this sound like a BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM to you?
Edit to respond to property's reply (23 Apr 2024): Agoda's communication to me is that the cancellation was initiated by the property (Greystone) for the reason of "incorrect rate." Agoda has clarified that they are not in a position to cancel bookings, only the property can.
I have also spoken to your staff on that very day of this incident, and I was offered the "opportunity" to book direct with Greystone (at a higher rate that my Agoda booking) to secure my stay. The property was fully booked on that day, so please DO NOT TWIST THE TRUTH here. I will let my fellow travellers judge for themselves based on your many other multiple 1-star...
