It's the people that make the place. The host was sincere, authentic and full of positive vibes! We had problems with the QR Code payment n he suggested payment in SGD cash if possible - very accommodating indeed! When we wanted to ordered the 4th dish - Babi Pongteh, he told us it will be too much! When we couldn't fin and tar bao what's left of our chicken n chat siew, he saw....and said " still want to order babi pongteh somemore"...I burst into laughter!

The chilli has a tinge of sour lime. Goes very well with the chicken and char siew! Sweet, spicy, savoury and sourish....

After 2/3balls... the novelty of the rice balls wears off and you'll be asking for a plate of rice. The rice balls are not heavenly, they are basically just chicken rice that's rolled up.. nothing special actually.

The meat thou, now that's different. They were nice and tender and how roasted chicken is suppose to be, but they only come in 1/4, 1/2 and whole chicken.. The meatballs were great, especially the soup. I would really recommend that over the riceballs..

There's another pretty popular chicken rice store just down the street if you...

Horrendous experience.

Sat for 10 mins before the order was taken. Half of the items on the menu are unavailable. Sat for another 30 mins before food arrive. Changed from Rendang Beef to Rendang Chicken without consulting the us. Ended up with two chicken dishes. Very disappointed. Coke and Sprite arrived after food.

Nothing is right with the restaurant.

Chilli is tasteless. Bland.

Roast chicken is also bland. Chicken rendang is below average. Isn’t as flavoursome as what it should have been.

Not worth visiting. Don’t...

Very tender meat, we ordered both steam and roasted, both are good. To prevent getting tough meat, you can try and request for thigh part. The rice however, I feel it’s a little mushy. My partner feels it’s alright. I mean it boils down to own preference. The service is good too, but we came during non peak period, so not too sure when it’s packed. Overall, I think given that the popular one are temporary closed, this is not bad to get the experience of chicken rice ball!

This is the 2nd time I visit this chicken rice restaurant, their food is quite nice and chicken is nice juicy and tender. We ordered chicken, ponteh bak and char siew and roast pork combo. And of course the chicken rice balls. Everything is nice except the do not have the option of normal chicken rice and only have the balls. you'll have to eat many of them as they're small. Other than this everything is nice and price is reasonable.
