We were walking around jonker and was looking for a place to have lunch. Came across this restaurant and after browsing through the menu, decided to have our lunch here. The hostess was very welcoming from the start. We got in and got seated and the same hostess shared some suggestions and took our order. The interior was simple, bright and cozy. It didn't take long for our food to arrive and it was delicious (and tasted so homely). The prawns were fresh, the sambal that came with the fried fish was a great pairing as well as the sambal for the plate of ulams. A tad sad that the keladi gotten a lil bit 'gatal' after we had a few but the gulai asam was tasteful nonetheless. Most importantly, the service was top notch right from the hostess (forgotten to ask her name 🥲), the waiter and others. We overheard that the restaurant is quite new and been running for 3 months+. If they maintain the great service and quality of food, we are sure they can go really far. Perhaps open a branch in KL 😊. Highly recommended for those who love local Malay homemade dishes or simply want to try something local with Malaysian...

If you’re in Melaka and craving the best asam pedas, look no further than TUMIS Authentic Malay Cuisine. This gem truly captures the essence of this iconic Malaysian dish.

The Asam Pedas Ikan Pari here is perfectly balanced, with a tangy and spicy broth that envelops fresh fish—often using mackerel—that is cooked to tender perfection. The depth of flavor is remarkable, thanks to a blend of spices and herbs that is both aromatic and satisfying.

The restaurant’s ambiance is casual and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for families and friends to gather. The service is friendly, and the staff is always willing to recommend their favorites.

Pair your Asam Pedas Ikan Pari with a side of rice and Asam Keladi Rebus for a complete meal. If you have room, don’t miss out on their Daging Asam, which adds an extra kick.

In short, TUMIS is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience authentic asam pedas in Melaka. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this dish will leave a...

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Malay cuisine, Tumis is the place to be!

The menu showcases a delightful array of traditional dishes that truly celebrate the rich flavors of Malay culture. I highly recommend trying the Nasi Lemak, which comes perfectly cooked with fragrant rice and a variety of sides that balance sweetness and spice beautifully. The rendang is another standout—tender meat, simmered to perfection in a coconut milk sauce, leaving a memorable taste that lingers long after the last bite.

The ambiance of Tumis contributes to the experience as well, with its cozy decor and inviting atmosphere that reflects the essence of Malay heritage. It’s a perfect spot for both casual dining and special celebrations.

Don't miss out on their delightful desserts either; the kuih is a must-try!

Overall, Tumis is a gem for anyone wanting to explore authentic Malaysian flavors, and I can't wait to return!...
