Hotel Chhimeki — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Had a great 5 night stay in hotel chhimeki. We stayed in a hostel for our first couple of nights in Kathmandu but had some issues so moved to hotel chhimeki to try and get some peace and quiet! Thankfully it absolutely delivered.

It’s on the outskirts of thamel, far enough that it’s nice and quiet but still walkable for everything thamel has to offer. The road it’s situated on is quite busy, not in terms of noise pollution as the hotel is set back enough from it, but it’s busy when you’re walking along it.

The rooms are nice, we were on the 3rd floor and it was lovely and quiet. The shower was reliably warm and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was lovely, they made us a bespoke breakfast every morning. The pancakes were really delicious!

The staff were all lovely and so friendly. We did a few early morning activities from Kathmandu and the staff readily facilitated that. They lock the gate at night time, we had to call reception to get them to open it when we stayed out past 11pm so just bear that in mind! It’s good though because it shows they prioritise sleep and security!

Overall it’s a great place and I’d definitely recommend it for thamel! The hotel also helps out disadvantaged local women, they have some signs up about it. We didn’t know anything about this when we booked but it was great to see they have good intentions and we were happy to be...

Staying at Chhim|eki hotel was a pleasant surprise! Despite being a establishment, this hotel has a lot to offer. The highlight for me was the charming small garden tucked away in the courtyard—a tranquil spot to enjoy a cup of coffee from their cozy coffee area. The greenery added a refreshing touch, making it a delightful place to unwind after a day of exploring.||The room service exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. They were knowledgeable about the local area and offered great recommendations for nearby attractions and dining options.||Although the hotel is modest in size, it creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a good night's rest after a busy day. ||Overall, Chhimeki hotel may not be the most luxurious option, but it more than makes up for it with its genuine hospitality, lovely garden, and excellent service. When arriving at Hotel Chhimeki, I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was tired from my flight and needed somewhere comfortable to sleep.||Hotel Chhimeki delivered on this and more. It is set a little far away from Thamel centre making it quieter and really nice to have the window open in the morning. However, it is still easy to walk outside and go to the busy hub of Thamel with its attractions within a few minutes.||The facilities were great, with a comfortable bed, pillows and duvet in the room with air con. There was a desk in my room which was great as I needed to get a bit of work done. They provided me with two bottles of water with seals to ensure they’re safe.||The staff are second to none, when I first arrived I was offered a Milk Tea which was delicious and free. I met one of the owners of the hotel, Devaraj, who was friendly, helpful and a nice person to sit with. He even offered to move the furniture around in the room if I wanted, therefore I can tell they are willing to go out of their way to make your stay great.||Wi-Fi is also...
