Hidden gem guesthouse at the east side of Lakeside area. One of the best guesthouses I stayed with my girlfriend in Nepal. The quality of what you pay for is worth it and then some.
To start off the room itself is beautiful. It is well designed, very modern with a touch of Nepali styles. The room is maintained well and very clean. In the room, we had a lot of sunlight, they had a small desk and seating area as well. Coat hanger for hanging your items and the windows have good airflow, so the room doesn't get too hot/cold. They even have fans as well. The bed is comfortable and the beddings are very clean, modern, and tasteful. The outside of the guesthouse is beautifully decorated with many exotic and tropical plants which brighten up the place and make it more welcoming.
The bathroom is very clean, spotless, and large. The best part we had is the hot showers and the pressure of it in the room was one of the best we have seen. They use solar for the hot water and once in a while electric for rainy days.
We also tried the food at the guesthouse. The veg chowmein, potato curry, momos, and chat pot were all delicious. Definitely eat there if you want some good food. Their taste is a lot better than many other guesthouses I stayed in Nepal. You can eat downstairs in the courtyard or they also have room service to eat in your room. Prices are reasonable as well, saving you a walk outside for tasty food.
The location of the guesthouse is quite good as well, just outside of the busy area of Lakeside, away from the noisy music and cars. It is in a more residential area. A few side streets are nearby to see the local shops and people. The only issue is the loud tour buses beside the guesthouse, but it cannot be prevented unfortunately since it is not Harvest Moon's fault. The only other issue is the Wifi can be slow at times but that is something that can be easily fixed for them in the future.
Lastly, the service at Harvest Moon is top-notch. They cater to most people's needs. They have a laundry facility, food service, if you need info or help in any way, they are accommodating. One of the best parts that make this place stand out. It is also a family-owned place so you feel very welcome here. If you're coming to Pokhara highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay, you...

I arrived at Pokhara bus station and hadn't booked accomodation prior. It wasn't a problem at all since a handful of touts were waiting for bus passengers to exit to try and coerce them into going to the guesthouse they worked for or got a commission from. In the end, I went with the recommendation of the gentleman who wasn't pushy in the least and when I got to the guesthouse he suggested, I was pleasantly surprised.
When I arrived, I was helped with my bag and shown a room on the top floor with a large terrace, for $15 per night. It was immaculate, with a big bed, crisp clean linens, a nice fluffy bath towel, bedstand, table & chairs, coat rack, a few hangers, and a tv which I never turned on once. Most importantly, there was hot and cold water, and even though the goverment enforces loadshedding at various times of the day, throughout the week, the bathroom light and the light above the bed always worked, courtesy of solar power. The only toiletry provided was soap, so bring your own toiletries. There was also a backup charging station downstairs. Wifi signal was pretty good, even on the top floor. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the terrace at night and star gazing. Fyi, there are a few ants here and there, but they didn't bother me and the staff offered to fumigate but I didn't feel like it was necessary.
On a clear day, you can see parts of the Annapurna range, including Machapuchare, and there's also a nice sunset view over Pokhara Valley. Just a word of warning, summers in the lowlands and valleys of Nepal are very dusty, smoky and hazy.
The guesthouse is located just a few minutes walk from numerous shops and restaurants, and even offers its own light fare menu. I especially enjoyed some delicious Nepalese home cooking courtesy of Harry's wife, it's the Nepalese set menu if you're interested. Breakfast was pretty standard, eggs however you'd like them, really yummy toast with your choice of spreads, tea or coffee. No matter how early I had to be up, the staff always accomodated my breakfast times. All in all, I had a really wonderful stay. Harry and his family do a great job at running their guesthouse and making guests feel like a part of their family. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone...
