Having stayed in numerous hotels across Nepal and Pokhara, my experience at Gokyo Lake Hotel stands out as unparalleled in terms of peace and serenity. It's particularly challenging to find a truly "shanti" place in the bustling Lakeside area of Pokhara, but Gokyo Lake Hotel manages to provide just that.
From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel like their top priority. This family-run establishment prides itself on maintaining a high standard of service, free from any shady dealings or negative associations. The genuine respect and care the staff show towards their guests are evident in every interaction, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.
The ambiance of the hotel is perfect for couples or laid-back travelers who are not interested in the party scene. The tranquil environment is ideal for those seeking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Pokhara.
The food is authentic and fresh with care to whatever you please
I highly recommend Gokyo Lake Hotel for anyone looking to experience true peace and hospitality in Pokhara. Whether you’re looking to relax by the lake or explore the surrounding area, this hotel offers a serene retreat that feels like a home...

The hotel itself is beautiful with so much character in its walls, and cozy communal balconies to see the city life unfold below. ||The owners and their son are some of the kindest people I have met in Nepal, and my time here has felt less like a hotel more as though I’ve been welcomed into their home. With the busy nature of travel, the peace and quiet of the hotel has been restorative and much needed.||When you do stay here, the food served in the common area is reasonably priced, great portions, and is better than many of the dishes I’ve had throughout the city. The Barbecue and Chili Chicken are a must-try and I look forward to trying the momo later today. ||If you need to arrange for adventure, taxis, or other activities, reception is always happy to help and ease your workload. ||Thank you for having me in your hotel. It feels like I was welcomed into...

In the morning I came to ask for help arranging a taxi, and while we were talking with the owner another company of people came to ask for paragliding and he decided to end the conversation mid way and...
