I arrived late in Pokhara from a long and chaotic bus drive so I was happy to get a private room when I asked for a bed in dorm.|But then things got „not so very nice“ pretty fast.|The manager was gone when I returned an hour and a half later. So I couldn’t tell him there was water dripping from a hole in the ceiling right above the bed, where a fan used to be. I couldn’t use the only fan left in the room, because the cable was damaged.|The only guys I could have talked to were a bunch of guests, but they were busy yelling and screaming until the last one fell totally pissed into his room around 2.30 am. At least I didn’t expect the Himalayan Star to be a Party Hostel. It was Tuesday by the way.|When I claimed all this the next morning, the manager apologized shortly and acted very surprised like he didn’t know about the conditions, but in the end I got charged 100%, even for breakfast which is included. Not if you’re on a low budget and staying in a dorm, the staff told me then.||Maybe I made this experience because it was low season and nobody felt responsible, but I didn’t feel welcomed at all.||Make your own experience, but obviously I wouldn’t...

Read moreI went Himalayan Star Hotel last month (September 2019).The Hotel and the staff are superb. Their staff are very helpful,I'm sorry I forgot his name, but there are two person that served me. One of them get my friend and I a cab to go to the bus stn, he even called the bus operator to wait for us because we are having breakfast at that time. And another boy waited for us until we finished dinner (we ate 3in1 porridge that we bring with hot water). The room also comfortable and spacious for two person. They also have hot shower. Besides, the hotel is near to Fewa Lake. We can just go there by walk. I just cannot move on from this Nepal...
