I recently had the pleasure of embarking on the Annapurna Base Camp trek, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to our outstanding tour guide " Tenpa". From safety to entertainment, personality, and extensive knowledge, he exceeded all expectations. Safety: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ His commitment to safety was unparalleled. From the very beginning, he ensured that we were equipped with the necessary gear and briefed us thoroughly on trekking protocols. With him as our guide, we were worry-free about the navigation and could enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Entertainment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Throughout the trek, he effortlessly blended education with entertainment. His stories about the local culture and history kept us engaged during breaks and evenings in the teahouses. Whether it was sharing folklore or teaching us local phrases, he added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trek. Personality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our guide's warm and friendly personality created a positive atmosphere within us. Always approachable and ready to assist, he was a friend figure to us. His genuine passion for the mountains were clearly shown which also made us keen about the culture in the Himalayas. I could say that he inspired us to be more connected to the mountains. Knowledge: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of his expertise was the extensive knowledge of the Annapurna region he had. From identifying the various peaks to explaining the unique flora and fauna, he transformed the trek into an enriching learning experience. His insights into the local customs and traditions provided a deeper understanding of the places we visited, adding immeasurable value to the journey. In conclusion, he played a pivotal role in making our Annapurna Base Camp trek an extraordinary adventure. His unwavering commitment to safety, entertaining storytelling, delightful personality, and profound knowledge of the region left a lasting impression on our group. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore the breathtaking Annapurna region with a guide who goes above and beyond expectations.

Without an iota of doubt, Tempa is the best guide and companion I’ve been with in the 5 long distance hikes I’ve done in Nepal as well as multiple Backroads and Mt Sobek trips in the US and Europe. This is a report on a 7 day hike to the Annapurna base camp. Operationally, everything went like clockwork. But that’s a small part of what made him awesome. He told me stories of the mountains, the people, the history, the food, the wildlife, and more. Warm and friendly, he is an amazing spotter of birds and other wildlife .. among a multitude of things, I’d never seen a bright light brown mongoose before. Every evening, he would demand that I stretch with him using each others shoulders for balance 😄 And he had noticed that I wasn’t drinking enough water (acclimatizing needs water) so every hour he would stop and ask my forgetful self questions about facts that he had told me .. and if I failed. I had to drink! 😂 He sings as he walks and one evening we walked into a teahouse with a guitar and clearly in his miss spent youth, he had learned to strum very well. And don’t miss the tattoo on his arm. This wonderful man made every day of the walk a memorable experience. With enormous respect, thank you for a fabulous trek Tenpa!!! Will be back. And I will bring the clan and send my buddies too 🙏🏽

EBC TREK We actually met Tenpa by pure chance by meeting his sister in Ladakh who then recommended us her brother as a guide, and a year later we decided to go with him, and we could not have been happier with our choice. Everything was so well organized and we could see that he tried his very best at all times to organize and manage everything from the flights to the tea houses even with the craziness that is Nepal and last minute changes that happen all the time in Nepal. He is extremely professional, and knows everything about khumbu regions history, Sherpa culture and the regions trails. Communication was top notch and a lot better than many of the other guides from what we heard when we met other trekkers on the route to EBC. As I had some problems with an old knee injury he also took this as his utmost concern and assured our safety was always the top priority, from altitude sickness to avoiding stomach issues. If you have the chance to go with him we would recommend it 100%, rather than going with a big tour company. We hope to meet him again someday in the future. If you choose him we can assure you will get one of the best guides Nepal has to offer. As a bonus you can also learn a lot about Tibet if you are interested! Thank you again Tenpa from an unforgettable experience <3

Tenpa was recommended to us by a family friend, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found him. We felt confident prior to arriving as we had constant communication with Tenpa, which was important to me, being quite young and anxious to travel for the first time without family. We received a detailed itinerary almost immediately after discussing our ideas, giving us ample time to ask questions and prepare thoroughly- both physically for the trek and in terms of packing and setting mental expectations.

Tenpa’s planning and organization made for a seamless trip, which was further enriched by his connections and extensive knowledge of the local culture and environment. He shared stories, explained local practices, and pointed out features of the landscape that we would have otherwise missed. This not only made the trek more engaging but also deepened our appreciation for the region and its people. So many people we met in the teahouses would approach us to mention how lovely our guide was- we truly had so much fun and laughter talking to and learning from him!

Beyond the trek, Tenpa organized unique experiences that would have been inaccessible on our own which was incredibly special. I personally appreciated his ability to brief us each morning in a professional manner yet still fun and friendly. This left us feeling confident and prepared for the day as we were never overwhelmed with information. At no point did I feel unsafe, and with his experience, composure and organisation, I know we were in good hands, especially had...
