On our recent trip to Nepali we stayed in several different hotels, 3 in Pokhara. This was our second visit to The Nice Dream and we love it as much as ever. From the moment your car pulls up in front the service is excellent. We checked in quite late but we were still all shown to our rooms, offered welcome drinks etc. The rooms are large and luxurious. Huge bathrooms with double sinks, comfy large tub with TV above and glass shower. Lovely amenities. The breakfast restaurant is beautiful with floor to ceiling glass walls with a view of the garden. The buffet is fantastic with a large variety of western and Indian food, very high quality. The baked goods are amazing, kudos to the pastry chef!! When we were leaving to drive to Agra the staff filled a box with pastries for us to take in the car. We had afternoon tea in the elegant lobby and I highly recommend it. , pastries and scones with jam and cream as well as your chosen tea. They even brought extra pastries when we said we particularly liked something. It's a nice treat. I love the roof-top . Again, the restaurant side service is excellent. They provide a wicker basket with sunscreen, ice water, and cold towels as well as glasses of fresh lemonade. You can see for miles in all directions. The only tiny criticism I will make is the pool tiles are showing signs of disrepair. Finally, the front desk staff, the concierge desk, and all the people at the door were very friendly and welcoming. They are very helpful with travel arrangements. We will return to this hotel again and again when we're in...
Read moreI travelled to Nepal in December 2014 with my parents and Hotel Nice Dream was our first stop straight off the plane from Australia, and we are so glad it was because it was one of the best places we stayed in Nepal…!! Mr. Tilak, was the most helpful and friendly person, even lending us a own mobile contact in case we needed to contact him when we were out exploring Pokhara offering the services of his driver to drop us at Airport pick us up etc. The Nice Dream itself was great as well, rooms a good size and nice and clean. We only ate breakfast there Excellent food but what we did eat was delicious. He helped us with working out our itinerary, giving great advice on what to do and where to go and even recommended a great restaurant only a short walk away that we ate dinner at twice because it was so good, it’s in the walking distance bazaar ...it’s called raffles definitely try it!||Nice Dream is also reasonably priced, we generally stayed at hotels cheaper than this for the rest of our trip but we are so glad we paid that little bit of extra money because the service was sensational and people goes above and beyond for his guests. We needed to book some trips when we were in Kathmandu later in our trip and were struggling to navigate the Nepali website for booking, a quick call to Mr. Tilak and he was more than happy to help. He again helped us organize fight too! I recommend this Nice Dream to anyone planning a...
Read moreWorst hotel experience ever till date. When i reached the hotel from Kathmandu, they didn't had the room prepared. I had to wait for like half an hour. It is horrible to say that after waiting that long i was provided a classic room although i booked an deluxe room. Making a guest wait and not providing what they booked for clearly shows the poor management. I argued at the reception and i had to compromise with the classic room at last. The hotel service was distressing too. I wanted to order chicken drumstick and burger but they said the cook were on break. Not a good gesture. So i ordered chicken Mo:Mo and coffee but it took merely 45-50 minutes and guess what the mo:mo was served cold. Lunch was same too. Cold and stale food was served which i left without eating. And somewhere around 10 i was disturbed and they took a mattress of one of my bed which i was charged while booking. Talking about the room they didnt had hot water service and thr room was way unhygenic one of the blanket has a big hole in it. Ridiculous!! Next day i checked out and i was charged for breakfast. While booking it clearly said the breakfast to be complimentary from the hotel. It was one of the bad experience i ever met with. I suggest never ever choose this hotel. It says 3 star hotel but it doesnt meets...
