Hidden Gem in Pokhara for Desi Food Lovers!
As a Bangladeshi traveling in Nepal, I was desperately craving some good Indian/Pakistani-style food — and Lazeez was everything I hoped for and so much more. Their dum biryani and paneer masala? Absolutely divine. Honestly, I’ve had Indian food in many places, but this flavor? Unmatched. I genuinely wish I could pack it up and bring it home to Bangladesh.
I ended up going there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two days straight — yes, it’s that good. The portions are generous (one plate can easily feed two), and the food quality stayed consistently amazing each time.
Now, I have to shout out Muskan, a staff member who made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly warm, kind, and went above and beyond for us. One night, we arrived late, just before closing, and they still let us dine in. The next night? We showed up after closing and they packed our food with care so we could eat at the hotel. That level of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
I didn’t go looking for halal food — I went looking for comfort food that reminded me of home. And I found it. Lazeez is more than a restaurant — it’s a cozy, flavorful haven for anyone who loves real Desi food and genuine human kindness.
Highly recommend if you’re in Pokhara and want food that touches your soul (and fills...

I traveled to Nepal from the United States for a 3-week trekking trip. The last stop of my journey was Pokhara, and was told by locals this was one of those spots you have to check out. I’m glad I listen because this wasn’t just one of the those spots…. Be THE spot to grab food in Pokhara.
One thing I noticed was the owner of the establishment was personally greeting every customer that walked in. We talked about my time in Nepal, where I’m from, what I did for a living, etc. not only does the staff have a passion for providing amazing food, but they really do care about their customers.
I highly recommend to check this place out!
