Hotel staff were downright rude, and not trained at all to be working in hospitality. Very disappointed as it was our first experience in Queenstown and in New Zealand. We are world travellers and have never experienced this kind of disrespectful behaviour. This included arguing with us when we showed up on time for check in that the check in time sent to us was incorrect, entering the room without knocking, making rude statements and scowling and being unwelcoming in general. Would never stay here again- the view from the room was a disappointment as well. I understand that QT is understaffed and overwhelmed with tourists, but that doesn’t warrant rude behavior when we were polite and following rules according to our email confirmation, defintiely not in the...

We have just finished our stay at the Balmoral lodge and we had such an incredible time. The lodge was beautiful with such incredible views and lovely spacious room. Despite the cold outside the room was lovely and toasty and we definitely made the most of warming up in the lovely big spa bath. Having the guest lounge was such a lovely touch and a perfect spot to wind down and soak in the views!| |The location was perfect, not so central that your in the midst of the noise and chaos but still an easy walk if you have a nice day (or a cheap Uber ride) ||Cis was super friendly and hospitable and always available for some tips and a lovely chat!
