We have just finished our stay at the Balmoral lodge and we had such an incredible time. The lodge was beautiful with such incredible views and lovely spacious room. Despite the cold outside the room was lovely and toasty and we definitely made the most of warming up in the lovely big spa bath. Having the guest lounge was such a lovely touch and a perfect spot to wind down and soak in the views! The location was perfect, not so central that your in the midst of the noise and chaos but still an easy walk if you have a nice day (or a cheap Uber ride) Cis was super friendly and hospitable and always available for some tips and a lovely chat! And the Benji pats were an extra plus!! Thank you so much for our stay, we will definitely return!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Balmoral Lodge. Sis and her trusty helper Benji made us feel right at home, and you couldn’t ask for a better view. It was an easy walk to the downtown area as long as you’re not afraid of hills, and there was plenty of parking if you’re driving and prefer to get around town that way. Would happily stay again and recommend to friends/family!

Very nice room with amazing view over the lake and mountains! We loved the sunsets! Cis provided great suggestions for restaurants and places to go. It was a bit of a hill climb to walk from town up to the house but it helped us get in shape for the hikes. If you don’t want to walk uphill, not sure what you are doing on South Island :)

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Balmoral Lodge. Sis and her trusty helper Benji made us feel right at home, and you couldn’t ask for a better view. It was an easy walk to the downtown area as long as you’re not afraid of hills, and there was plenty of parking if you’re driving and prefer to get around town that way. Would happily stay again and recommend to friends/family!

Very nice room with amazing view over the lake and mountains! We loved the sunsets! Cis provided great suggestions for restaurants and places to go. It was a bit of a hill climb to walk from town up to the house but it helped us get in shape for the hikes. If you don’t want to walk uphill, not sure what you are doing on South Island :)

Hotel staff were downright rude, and not trained at all to be working in hospitality. Very disappointed as it was our first experience in Queenstown and in New Zealand. We are world travellers and have never experienced this kind of disrespectful behaviour. This included arguing with us when we showed up on time for check in that the check in time sent to us was incorrect, entering the room without knocking, making rude statements and scowling and being unwelcoming in general. Would never stay here again- the view from the room was a disappointment as well. I understand that QT is understaffed and overwhelmed with tourists, but that doesn’t warrant rude behavior when we were polite and following rules according to our email confirmation, defintiely not in the...
