Candelaria10 Apartamentos — Hotel in Cádiz

My wife and I spent 3 glorious weeks at Cadelaria10 in October, 2019. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the Cadiz culture and learn to speak Spanish. The experience was fantastico! The apartment at Candelaria10 exceeded our expectations. A super comfortable king sized bed (rare in Spain), first rate shower, excellent modern kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and excellent television. The sun/observation rooftop deck is an extra treat with great views of the city and some exercise equipment to work off the extra pounds you will gain eating the spectacular Cadiz food. The location is perfect. Right on glorious Candelaria Square are five excellent restaurants and a delightful ice cream shop. The Cathedral, Market, Plaza of the Flowers and shopping district are minutes away. The train station is an easy 10 minute walk. Best of all is the owner and host, Georg. He speaks English, Spanish, German, French ..and probably some other languages too. Georg was a tremendous help with day trip planning, restaurant recommendations, soccer tickets, train travel....and turning us into true Gaditanos. Candelaria10 is an old building situated in a beautiful plaza right in the heart of the city. There are just 6 apartments in the building, all face out onto the square. ||The apartments are spacious and well equipped. The interior design and detailing is superb. ||The staff at Candelaria10 were very helpful in recommending local restaurants and things to do and see.||We made use of the free bikes to explore some of the more remote beaches on the outskirts of Cadiz.||The only negative point is that the plaza can be a little noisy late into the night, but the double glazing manages to filter most of that out. Die Candelaria10 ist ein kleines Juwel! ||Nach jahrzehntelangem Leerstand wurde dieses Gebäude in ein Appartement-Hotel umgebaut. Klein und sehr fein, fünf Appartement-Wohnungen sind in dem Haus. Dieses liegt direkt am Plaza Candelaria, wohl einem der schönsten Plätze in der Altstadt von Cadiz. ||Hier haben sich wohl einige fähige Menschen Gedanken gemacht - und dies mit Liebe zum Detail und Anspruch an Materialien. Alten Bestand mit moderner Architektur verbunden, hochwertige Materialien und zeitgemäße Technik. Historie trifft Zeitgeist!|Auch der Einrichtungsstil ist unglaublich angenehm, sehr hell. Eine Mischung aus skandinavisch-andalusischem Style. Und alle Appartements haben Blick auf den Plaza! Das Leben, die Menschen, das Vogelgezwitscher. ||Nidia, die Concierge, ist Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und Lächeln in einer Person. Beim Checkin ist alles perfekt vorbereitet. Sie weist einen nicht nur in das Zimmer ein, sondern gibt einem auch einen ersten Einblick auf und in die Altstadt, viele Tipps zu Restaurants, Cafés etc. Zwischendurch kann man sie nach einem Briefkasten in der Nähe fragen und bekommt von ihr direkt noch einen neuen Tipp, wo man noch hingehen sollte. ||In der Wohnung gibt es eine ordentliche Klimaanlage, eine moderne und gut ausgestattete Küche - aber wer braucht das im Gastronomie-Spot Cádiz schon ; ) - Hand- und Strandtücher ... Im Haus Waschmaschine und Trockner. ||Wer auf das Rooftop mit Daybed und Liegen geht, wird feststellen, dass selbst bis hierhin der hochwertige Stil und das Designkonzept durchgängig sind. Respekt!|Von hier hat man eine Aussicht, die diese liebenswert pittoreske Unordnung Cádiz‘ offenbart. Was einem aber auch nicht hilft, wenn man sich unten in den zahlreichen Gassen bewegt. Aber egal: Jede ist schön, und in jeder gibt es etwas zu entdecken. ||Ein Café zum Frühstücken ist direkt nebenan vom C10, genauso wie ein kleiner Supermercado für das, was man meint, zu benötigen. |Und ansonsten kann ich nur empfehlen: Gehen, erleben, ausprobieren.
