Chalet Felderhof — Hotel in Zermatt

We had a great stay in the 3 bedroom apartment on the third floor. We weren't able to see the Matterhorn from any of the apartment's multiple balcony, but the view was still great. The location of the chalet was perfect: 3 mins from the Zermatt train station, 2 mins from the gonergrat train station, and 3 mins from the Zermatt mountain train station. Which made it the perfect location to stay in when we decided to do the sunrise trip to Riffelsee.

The rest of the chalet was pretty much empty during our stay so the only disruptive noise was from the gonergrat train going by, but with the door closed, it was not disruptive.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped (with the exception of a moka pot that didn't work on the induction stove, and oven mitts).

Had a lovely stay in late August/early September 2023 in a three bed (two twin and one full, two bedrooms) with a kitchen. I believe it was on the third level. It was perfect for our needs. It was close to the train stations and grocery stores (Migros and Coop).

The beds and general living space were comfortable but nothing extravagant. Could sometimes hear noisier people walking nearby and the train.

Booking and communication/instructions prior to the stay were great. I didn’t have to reach out during the stay and found it to be an easy check out and the staff was nice to interact with.

We didn’t have any trouble without an elevator but that is something to be aware of if it’s a problem for your needs.

Overall really enjoyed the stay and it suited...

It was a riveting exhilerating experience living in this Chalet, which is a 2 minute walk from the station. It had all the possible amenities to make the stay comfortable and worth it. The rooms were warm and snug, the bathrooms clean with warm water. Kitchen fully equipped and with Coop supermarket close by, we could conjure up simple meals and eat in the tiny dining area. We could sit in the tiny balcony and admire the view of the snow covered street and alleyways. All in all a trip worth it and to remember by. Will definitely recommend to our friends who wish to travel to Zermatt, which truly is a piece of heaven...
