Last minute trip to visit the car show found me looking for an economical place to stay. We usual use VRBO's but this time the Cozy Hollow was a better deal. We reserved the studio but were upgraded to jacuzzi room. The cabins are stand alone, no loud neighbors sharing walls or stomping overhead. Ample parking. The rooms are clean, rustic...think old cabin, lots of wood, but well maintained. Our cabin was a good size for the two of us. The front porch had chairs and was quite pleasant to sit outside of our own little porch! The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were heavenly soft. Towels were good quality and in good condition. No shampoos or amenities, only bar soap! There are little signs and rules everywhere you turn. I was afraid to open the bar soap in the bathroom for fear of being charged for it! We did not use jacuzzi nor the fireplace. The location was great. We walked everywhere, well, except around the lake! The village is a short walk as well as the lake, too. Shopping, restaurants and coffee within in minutes. The downsides are: it's located right on BBL Blvd so lots of traffic or road noise at night. It was car show weekend so it might have been busier traffic wise but it was fairly loud in the middle of the night. With all the rules and fees, it wasn't as relaxing as I would have thought...empty your own trash, don't expect housekeeping unless you request, if you do this or don't do that there is a fee. I guess that's good or bad, you know exactly what to expect. There was just one chair inside so we sat, or lounged on the bed. Hair dryer at front desk. Would we stay here again? Probably. Great price, great location. But we might want to try another place...

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying in Room #2. The setup includes two full beds and one queen bed crammed into a single room, but that's where the positives end. The room had a strong, unpleasant odorâcomparable to a bathroom after a rough Taco Bell run. Only two towels were provided for four guests, which was frustrating.
Cleanliness was also an issue: there was hair left in the bathroom, and the heater didnât work. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning, no fan, and no air circulation at all. We were left with just four small pillows for the entire group.
The overall environment was unsettling. Staff appeared intoxicated and were smoking right outside the room door. The general area gave off the impression that long-term, unstable residents may be living on the premises, raising safety concernsâespecially for those traveling with children.
To top it off, the room lacked basic amenities like a coffee pot, which made the experience even less comfortable.
Bottom line: If you're considering staying hereâespecially with...
Read moreVery upsetting to međ¨ I called to reserve a cabin I asked for 8 days for 2 adults and 2 very small service dogs. Which are protected by the government and the price is not a problem. But she had the nerve to ask what the dog's purpose is. And a 200.00 deposit for them, and refused to give me the room I asked for. She said she will not give us a room with a spa because of my service dogs. I told her they don't go in the water and they weigh 6 pds and 1 pound. The price is for a room with a queen bed and kitchen. I know that she is never too ask for a price on my dog's or what purpose they serve. My advice is to remind them of the ADWD law. We are very upset because of there actions and I will be contacting the state on this matter. Warning to anyone who is disabled, beware of these kinds of places who judge you. Our service dogs are part of our daily lives. The law is put into place for people who are like us blind and deaf and without or dogs we cannot do what others can do. We are going to go somewhere else where they do not judge us. Thanks...
