Update: they fixed the garage
The owner will fine ANyOnE $500 or tow their vehicle+fines if found idling in the cold broken garage and yet the garage door has been broken OPeN for months-At a major Colorado SkI ReSoRT in the SnOW. Obviously snow and extreme cold is a fact of life here but they still haven't had the wherewithal to fix the garage. They'd rather fine you and tow your car than fix their woefully inadequate garage ventilation, disintegrated ceiling brick falling on your car, clogged snow drainage causing leaks or their broken garage door that won't close and could fall on anyone at any time. Listen, it may not be common knowledge: A broken roll up garage door poses INcReDIbLe risk to loss of life or limb when it slips and falls according to OSHA. The roll up door needs to be repaired or removed for safety but Wedgewood won't do either after many months. Not even a sign warning you of the danger. Under NO circumstances should you walk under the broken garage door as a pedestrian. Wedgewood Lodge ownership and management are shifting the burden of their garage repairs onto your wallet thru petty junk fines. For real don't stay here it only gets worse.
The building is from 1986 and everything is just wearing out. Even the garage ceiling has literally disintegrated to the point of sending brick chunks into my car. The front desk told me that when snow melts on the upper walkway near the BroKeN hot tubs they always find leaks in the garage as the drains clog above. They were not surprised to find chunks of the ceiling brick on the ground and on my car in the garage. Take a look at the deep rusty condition above the Lincoln SUV in these photos. The HVAC ductwork is very rusty deep beyond surface cosmetics (YoU ArE BreAThiNG ThAT RuST) and brick chunks are falling from this location. All because there's a clogged drain right above. From the looks of it that drain clogs frequently and is inadequately maintained on a many years basis.. Not a recently developed problem.
One guest clothes dryer has been broken for 4+ months and rather than hiring appliance repair professionals to fix it they just took it away. It's a real shame as 3 dryers would match the 3 washers but now there's only 2 dryers for 3 washers. Good luck sniping that dryer from your 50+ neighbors on a busy laundry day.
Do you have an EV? If yes, then you won't be able to charge it at this property reliably.
The building owner insists that ICE combustion vehicles are allowed to block you from charging for 72 hours. Guests and more so employees block me from charging regularly. FREQUENTLY I cannot charge at this location not from being in use, but blocked by management of this location not making it EV Parking ONLY. Take a look at the 4 unique combustion vehicles not charging while parked in EV Parking in these photos. Management won't do AnYTHinG to help you charge your car. As the front desk lady put it, they insist EV charging is an extremely luxurious privilege and they fundamentally do not see EV charging as a requirement of driving electric nor is it their responsibility to keep an empty EV charger for you to charge. Seems they just never drive electric and try to make it a political thing for •reasons• meanwhile I just NEED to charge my car and can't. I can't wrap my head around why they put in 4 EV chargers and can't let me use even one overnight.. I'm guessing they installed these for the owner since she lives far, does drive a Tesla, and there is not even 1 DC fast charger in the Town of Breckenridge (currently). Btw- they'll still fine you $500 if you're using the engine of a plug in hybrid to charge up the batteries when the 4 chargers are blocked by combustion vehicles.. silly, I know.. and clearly poor management, but True and incredibly disrespectful to those who choose to drive electric.
It's really unfortunate that this prime real estate right next to a ski chairlift is so poorly maintained and operated. It has such high potential just from the location alone.
This is all I can write about. You have...
Read morethis review pertains to admin interactions @ wedgewood who facilitates property MGMT at Ski Side/Tonti MGMT. The real problem lies in their main admin clerk. Andee. Unprofessional, sarcastic, rude and disorganized.I can't tell you how many horrible experiences I've had with Andee. Housing in Breckenridge is hard to come by, so she can treat her customers like this while there will always be a new unsuspecting soul to be verbally abused. May I add, I am a grown w/ a child, a government job, never missed rent, never had a complaint or issue on my end and I am treated like a child every time I interact with this woman. I really don't know what is up. But she is just comes off as mean. Enough for us to never renew our lease here. I am willing to pay more not to deal with her. Just a heads up. You do not want to deal with Andee. I recommend paying rent online, parking at the ice rink or city market for your guests and if something breaks email. This will lower your interactions with her. Every bad review on this site list her by first name. And I will have to say they are right. Just awful. I have had pleasant interactions with...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Wedgewood Lodge in Breckenridge with my family and I’ll be using this lodge for all future trips. Last year, we stayed in a few Airbnbs on separate visits. They were fine, but nothing compared to the Wedgewood in terms of location, price, and accommodations.
The staff was incredible, friendly, helpful, and quick to assist with everything from bus route tips to restaurant recommendations and family activity ideas. The rooms were spacious, newly renovated, and super comfortable, perfect for a family with a pack-and-play and the need for a little extra room.
The kitchen was fully stocked and featured full-size appliances, not the usual mini hotel versions, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. We also had a balcony with a beautiful mountain view that we used often.
The main floor has a large, cozy lounge area stocked with board games, puzzles, and a big screen tv, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Just outside are two large hot tubs on the patio, a great bonus.
We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend the Wedgewood Lodge to anyone visiting Breckenridge, no...
