YESSS!! I was shook by how good this place was. Absolutely didn't expect to find an excellent Thai place in CO, let alone in Crested Butte. My partner and I tried the khao soi, pineapple fried rice, egg rolls, and the thai iced tea. Egg rolls were pretty standard, the Thai iced tea was delicious (you can actually taste the tea!!), pineapple fried rice was flavorful and not too oily, but my favorite was 100% the khao soi. The curry broth was rich and so flavorful, they were generous with the noodles, but oh my goodness when you pick the protein get THE SHRIMP!! I was expecting at most 3-4 tiny sad shrimp (y'all know what I'm talking about) but the khao soi was loaded with shrimp (counted about 6) AND THEY WERE THICC BOIS that we're cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend everything we tried, but most of all the khao soi!! The chef definitely knew what they were doing and honestly made this Asian girl so happy 🥲
Side note, they have a super cute outdoor patio with lights/patio warmers. Service was also super attentive and friendly, and even though it was pretty busy on a Tuesday night (maybe saw only 2-3 empty tables when we got there), food came out pretty quick! Loved that this place is also one of the more affordable food options in CB as well.
TL;DR come here, you won't regret it, and...
Read moreI have visited Thai Chili in both Crested Butte and Ouray, and they are both fantastic. However, I prefer the ambiance in Crested Butte. Every dish I've tried has been delicious. I highly recommend the tempura shrimp and duck noodle dishes.
Thai Chili offers an authentic Thai dining experience with a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. The restaurant in Crested Butte has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with tasteful décor that enhances the dining experience. The Telluride location is also excellent, but the Crested Butte ambiance stands out more to me.
The tempura shrimp is perfectly crispy, with a light and airy batter that complements the fresh shrimp inside. The duck noodle dish is rich and flavorful, with tender duck pieces that melt in your mouth. The flavors are well-balanced and the presentation is always top-notch.
Both locations have friendly and attentive staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time. The consistency in quality between the two restaurants is impressive, making Thai Chili a reliable choice for Thai cuisine in these areas.
I look forward to visiting Thai Chili again on my next trip to Crested Butte or Ouray. It’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food and a...
Read moreWow!! I am so glad that I stopped in here on my trip to Crested Butte. I’m a sucker for all good Asian food, especially in mountain towns, and this place did not disappoint. I was choosing between a few menu items and the sweet server walked me through all the most popular items. I could tell she genuinely cared and felt proud of their menu, and I enjoyed hearing her take on all of the food they had. The food was amazing. I love a Thai tea that’s not too sweet and a meal that’s perfectly seasoned and salted. I ended up going with the crispy pork basil with fried egg and everything was amazing. The egg was honestly one of the best eggs I’ve ever had, and the pork basil was amazing. The broth was comforting, rice perfectly cooked. And I topped off the meal with the sticky rice dessert which I absolutely loved. And I can’t say enough about how well we were treated with the service....
