Key West Hospitality Inns is a business that owns/manages several properties, including Olivia by Duval. We booked a room at Colors on White. When we arrived we were told that Colors on White was overbooked so we were being upgraded into room 212 at Olivia by Duvall. This review is about that room. We did not use amenities other than the pool, which was average.||||Frankly-if this was an upgrade the original room must have been horrible. The room does not look at all like the booking site pictures, clearly the rooms were staged for those.||||Pros:||-Very close to Duvall (This kept the rating from being worse).||-Roof didn't leak (it didn't rain, but there weren't water stains on the ceiling-work with me here...)||||Cons:||-Front door does not seal, bugs got in.||-Fuzzy black crud in the AC unit (either mold or mildew, likely the latter).||-Sheetrock tape hanging from ceiling.||-Ants in the kitchenette area.||-Bathroom just bad.||-Room connects to both other rooms in the house. Doors were locked to both sides, but lots of noise through the doors.||-No closet. A curtain across the stairwell hanging from a shower rod with a couple of hangers.||-Street is approx 20 feet from the front door. Two parking spaces at the porch. Throughout the night you will be entertained by people slamming car doors, drunks staggering down the street, couples fighting, and groups loudly debating the next bar needing to be graced by their presence.||||The worse thing of all:||The mattresses were both worn beyond service. The better of the two was rock hard, you could feel the coil springs through the padding, and when you moved in bed it was often accompanied by popping and soft "Boing/ Doing/ Spring Sounds" sounds. Honestly, when you woke up you felt like you'd spent the night working out at the gym rather than sleeping.||||Eclectic and vintage left this spot a while ago. Seedy and worn is reality today. The upside is that now we have agreed that $260 dollars a night can no longer get us a decent room in Key West. This room was everything I would have expected from a $40.00 a night roadside mom and pop motel. We will either book a well rated house or at one of the resorts. And keep in mind: It doesn't matter that you have a confirmed, paid in full reservation. You may not get what you bought with...

Read morePERFECT LOCATION! It located in the middle of Duval St so it a short walk from the lighthouse, a block from Earnest Hemingway house, the beach, the Southernmost point, the Zero market and everything in between. We went out came back rest and went out again. The staff are nice but the cleaning lady pretend they don't know English when you ask them a question. Free parking, good WIFI connection, nice pool area and free breakfast. ||The room was a little more pricey then the other that we had call but it was the only place that had the two night the we wanted. We got to check in early which was really nice. The room look like the attic converted into a room. It was okay size but the roof made it a little hard to move around. We bump our head a few times. The bathroom was small but manageable. It had bad smell when you in there like mildew and sewage. I can really smell it when I was brushing my teeth right over the sink. On the second day, my boyfriend wanted to make coffee, he was putting the coffee bag in when he felt something, it was a SYRINGE inside the coffee maker. I'm really scare thinking of it now. I hope that he will be okay and not get anything from it. Who in their sick mind would do that to...
