Not my preferred hotel. But I tried to keep an open mind. Upon walking in it felt like it had loads of potential but maybe missing a pop of color. But they did decorate for the Christmas holiday which I thought was a nice touch. We checked in very late around midnight. The Attendant at the front desk upon our check-in, was super nice and helpful. He directed up to nearby restaurants and informed us of the area and answered any safety concerns I had and questioned on parking. We were informed it rain very hard the night before we arrive so there was some areas in the hotel that flooded. So the attendant has to check to see if they had the type of room I booked available (which there was). There is one else elevator it is very slow so we just took the stairs majority of the time except when taking suitcases in and out. The hallways were clean. It wasn't noisy. Just all the plain white walls were driving me crazy. The room was very small and their were two windows each had one curtain panel so they're didn't cover the window entirely. One window faces another building and the other window over looked the pool. I always made sure to change in the bathroom because I'm sure ppl could see in our windows. From other building. Bathroom floor looked unclean but the floor just had some chipping over the years. So the room was actually clean just needs a little more of a touch up like new bathroom tile. The sink is just one of those standing sinks so you can lay anything out in the bathroom. There is a table in the room. We found to be helpful with sitting our things on. And they have the stand to put the suit case one. There is a nice nice walk in closet, which I don't see being used very often. Maybe a smaller closet and bigger room will help. Bed was comfortable, sheets were cleaned. We were assigned room 414 which sits in the back corner. It was very quiet during our stay. Funny things is there were two rooms numbered 416 it tickled and erked my nerves at the same time. There is a restaurant attached to this hotel serving Mexican food. I was not a fan of the food at the restaurant it was overpriced for the quantity and size that you get. Parking was a little confusing at first but super convenient. There is a large lot right next to the hotel. Parking is free from 6pm-8am. From 8:01am-5:59pm it's $1 per/hr. Or you can pay a day rate of $10. Because we were gone most of the day we probably only paid no more then $10 for the 5 days we're there. Overall, I was not a huge fan of the hotel when we arrived but by the next day I was ok with it. Although, there is a lot of construction in the area we didn't hear any while we were there, there is a beach with easy access right out front. While sitting outside at the hotel restaurant, there are lots of ppl bike riding, exercising and skating by enjoying the weather. Multiple restaurants in the area to choose from. Convenient parking, It was easy to navigate to the trolley to take to South Beach which was free. So I didn't get the resort vacation with an ocean view but I got a nice quiet relaxing one which was the point.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Please spare yourself and save your money. 11/1 my boyfriend and I had a night booked here for after we returned from our cruise. When we pulled up we couldn’t believe how run down everything looked but we figured looks can be deceiving so we gave it a chance. When we went inside the lady at the front desk was very friendly so I’ll give them that. We wanted to check in early but she said we had to pay $57 to check in early which was fine no big deal. So we check in and she tells us that we are on the third floor and that there is an elevator but it’s slow. No big deal. We waited about 10 minutes for the elevator when we finally got to our room we noticed that the room looked run down quite a bit but hey whatever it’s one night. So we set our stuff down and we decided to explore Miami Beach. When we came back hours later we went upstairs to our room and decided to watch tv. When we turned the tv on it was jumping back and forth between being static and being fine. It sounded like the tv was barking at us. My boyfriend went downstairs and they told him that was normal but they would send someone up. Finally when the guy came up he stood in front of the tv and just hit the menu button and had it search channels then after 10 minutes he said he would be back. When he came back he did it again and then finally said he didn’t know and to tell the front desk that he confirms it’s broken. So we went downstairs and I tried to show the guy at the desk the video of the tv and he cut me off and said he believed me and said that if we wanted a refund we needed to contact Travelocity since that’s who we booked with. So we went back upstairs and I called them while I was on the phone with them my boyfriend noticed in the ac that there was MOLD. Yes MOLD. BLACK MOLD. I freaked out and said i absolutely was not staying here any longer. The Travelocity rep said he tried to contact the property but they wouldn’t cooperate. When we went downstairs while still on the phone the same guy at the front desk claimed that suddenly their internet went down and we would have to wait until Monday for anything to happen. The guy at the front desk literally said “oh sorry” when we told him that there was mold. It was only after we pushed and pushed about the mold did he say they could give us another room. I contacted Travelocity twice and they reached out to the hotel TWICE requesting a refund and both times the hotel denied it. So yeah save your money and your health by choosing a different hotel rather than this one that has mold. Oh yeah we didn’t even stay the night we checked out and went somewhere else.

My experience walking to the front desk was painful. As soon as you walked in, you're bombarded with this old antique high school Boys locker room smell to then be Whacked in your face by this industrial floral smell To Fight The other one. Upon check in I was bombarded with fees, fees, fees. Some of these fees, I believe they were made up at the last minute to make more money. I decided to extend my stay a 5th day. I really like the location. My mother has been bringing me here for as long as I could remember. So I got what I thought was a good deal online through my phone. Returned to the front desk the next morning, to be told they couldn't find my reservation in the system, from there on line reservation system and I have only 2 choices pay the fee or cancel and get out. I stepped away from the front desk. I was so pissed off. I had to pay an extra $57 for a price differential that was then Reduce to half. because the room that I purchased a room with 2 beds on the Broadmore hotels website that has no mention of this possible up charge, and just so you know the room was in another building that looked closed and condemned. I asked her the occupancy for the evening, and she said it was 70%, THE Same Front desk agent Mentioned that the room that I was in, Was ment to be put out of service before I checked in. It was probably because the Room had a mildewey cigarette smokey smell, (I was albe to open the windows and air it out, so that helped) but I was still charged 25$ smoke fee, I don't even smoke cigarettes. bathroom paint was chipping paint that looked like left over confetti from last nights Quincenellas party. Along with two refrigerators, missing or not matching and tattered beat up old furniture, Badly stained Sheets that aren't the right size of the bed. Oh I forgot to mention All the roaches I had to fight with. A horrible experience when you wake up in the middle of the night to use the restroom.. You might want to bring your own can of Spray Roach and Bug killer. 🤠👍 All I say is stay at your own risk and you might want to bring your own sheets to while you're at it... This building is being completely mismanaged, not staffed properly. No regard for repeat guests. It's a shame to know what this building was to now see it deteriorate with no concern from the owner, except for all those fees!!!

This is a weird review to write, but seeing how I was terrified about my reservations after ready the reviews, I figured I'd offer my review, you did not ask for :) Keep in mind the cost. You get what you pay for. Yep, rooms are small, but, that didn't bother us. Two adults, and we managed just fine to get around each other. There is no phone, no food or dining information, and the tv sort of got 2 maybe three channels, but not very well. Again, did not mind that too much, we were not planning on staying in the room all that often. General information about food and things around would have been nice. The bathroom is small, outdated, and our shower head could use a replacement, but had plenty of hot water and water pressure. Not much room to put your things IE: Counter space. No hair dryer. It wasn't dirty or anything like that, but could have been cleaner, if that makes sense. I did not notice a moldy, mildew smell anywhere. In fact, I thought the hallways smelled lovely. Everything you see about the elevator is accurate. S L O W. About 3 LONG minutes to travel to the 5th floor. IF you are planning on stairs, ask for a lower level room. The bad. AS with most hotels these days, they do not clean/refresh daily. It states that the 3rd day they will. They did not. We asked, told them we needed the room refreshed, IE: Towels and sheets changed. Also SWEEP. Due to the beach, we brought in a lot of sand. Sand on feet, then on floors, then on feet, equals sand in the sheets. We checked in late Thursday, so we should have had a refresh Saturday or Sunday. We asked again Sunday. We were out all day Sunday, came back late night, still no refresh. Monday we asked again. Towels, sheets and a sweeping of the floors. We left for a few hours, still not cleaned up. This is not acceptable. I did grab a couple of towels from the desk, we needed, and one was stained very badly. Its, too, was unacceptable. Yes there is construction in front, which is one of those things, you just have tp deal with. Location is perfect, a short walk to the beach, shops, food, and grocery all within walking distance. There is some perhaps homeless or whatever people strewn about, but they have never bothered us, or even asked us for anything. Maybe we just got lucky, but I never felt threatened or unsafe, and I walked around a lot, alone, day and night. So, take all of these things into consideration. Will I come back? Honestly, I don't know. Yes the price is right, but the complete lack of customer service, and the feeling we were just straight being ignored...
