Ocean star hotel — Hotel in Myrtle Beach

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the most disgusting place we have ever stayed. Here's a list: -Toilet did not flush properly at all. And we were greeted with someone else's left over floater when we used it the first time. -The wall facing the toilet was covered in what looked like boogers someone stuck there. -Shower walls had hair all over them. -Everything was Ill maintained. Rusty, old. It looked like the door had been kicked in multiple times. Filth and mold lined the door frame. -Floor was so absolutely filthy, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Made a suction sound while walking on it. -Every surface was dirty and/or sticky. Clumps of goober's, food or whatever else stuck to walls, light switches , bed table. Dirt and filth just everywhere. Top covering of bed had cigarette burns in it. Sheets underneath looked relatively clean, but we inspected them with a flashlight because the rest of the place was so knarly. -Patio floor was so filthy. -There was a party of some sort going on with super loud music, screaming and yelling until at least 4 am. -Seedy people everywhere. Made me feel extremely unsafe. Felt like I was staying a crack house rather than a hotel. Were super worried about our vehicle, but we were too tired from driving and risked it. Nothing was stolen or damaged thank goodness. -Pool was SO nasty. Had a film covering the surface that tainted the color. No one would go into it. -Dirty sheets laying on floor in hallway the entire day and night into the next day. -Microwave was clean. But the button was broken. -Toilet paper not on dispenser. Just sitting on sink.

View was great if you are okay with: Lack of sleep from loud music and yelling all night. Fear that bed bugs will eat you alive. Fear that someone will break in and kill/ rob you in the night. -Avoiding touching any surfaces. Don't need to use the toilet.

This is just our honest review. We stay in lot of places. We did not expect anything fancy or even nice. But this was so bad, we would have felt better sleeping out on the beach...

It’s right by the beach so that’s the only good part about this place. The whole place should be condemned. Roaches, bedbugs, drug dealers, addicts, needles. It’s not safe!

They charged my card close to $800 a month after I helped someone pay for their stay. I did not make the transaction. I was not there for the transaction. Then when I called and ask them about it, I get some guy asking why I wanted to talk to the person I asked for. What kind of hotel answers like that??? He said, “I need to know why you want to talk to her before I give her the phone.” I get her in the phone and she sounded like she was on something. She couldn’t give me a straight answer about anything. She didn’t even try to look into it I just got the run around. The owner allows the front desk people to live in the motel and work for their stay. So they’re hella sketchy. There’s a lot of drug activity there. I called my bank to dispute the charges, but I didn’t even have to do that because I wasn’t there for the transaction its fraud and I get my money back!!!! So be careful. I never gave them my card. They never touched it. I paid with the chip reader and somehow they were still able to charge my card a month later. Don’t trust them. If you been there you might want to check your bank records make sure they didn’t get you too. Find...

Don't go there unless... you want to want to throw away your money, for a bad service, If you are thinking of enjoying this beautiful beach, look to make a reservation at least a month in advance, I assure you that it will be worth spending your money in any of the resorts that are there, but do not go to this hotel, you will find even thrown sheets in the corridors, the building is quite run down, the microwave does not even turn its plate when using it, the refrigerator almost fell off the cabinet it is on, they give you dirty towels for your use, the sheets show that they had not been changed after the last guest, And if that were not enough, they take your things out of your room when you are on the beach, when you come back surprise!!! Your things are not just the empty room, you are going to complain that there are still 2 hours left before you leave the room and all your things are stored in another room with the things of other guests, really? all this for the modest price of $500 dollars NO! Don't waste your money here please!
