Jessica our hostess was great. Can't speak the same of the culinary team, specifically Ricky, the grill cook. Aside from the unsanitary practices of having loose dollar bills laying around the service and cooking area, he touching money and returning to the grill without properly cleaning his hands, and then resulting to utilizing cookware (specifically a third pan) as a presumably tip jar, his customer service is horrible. Ignorantly believing that a 7yr old should know that a dollar laying around on a countertop is "his dollar" then yelling at her instead of simply saying, "that belongs to me, it's a tip" or anything similar is blantly absorb! I mean, the fact that only a dollar had been tipped, obviously speaks to his service level as well! To add insult to injury, each time she or I visited the line, he made it his point and business to tap the management and point to us. What adult man intimidates a child this way?! We ended up leaving cause each time she went to the line she felt uncomfortable with his actions. He still has his dollar, might I add, as she immediately threw it back after he yelled at her. Golden Coral should invest in not only customer service training for obviously front staff and culinary staff, but most importantly food safety and sanitation! Read moreWent to this restaurant for dinner and we noticed that the restaurant was extremely cold! I have noticed this at a couple other Golden Corrals. It can be a good thing but in this case it was so cold that when we were getting food that was hot and fresh and bringing it to the table it was like cold in 10 minutes and that was very frustrating I did speak to the manager until him to please turn the air down a little bit because the food was not enjoyable. I noticed that they did not have any lettuce or tomato slices set up for the cheeseburger sliders so I grab some pickles off the salad bar but was not how I wanted to dress my food. The waitress was a older white lady and she was only given her customers two plates at a time which was very annoying because I noticed that she had two customers walk to her and say can I please have some plates she was sitting them in the corner on a tray on top of a high chair and I noticed when we needed more plates we had to do the same thing to get more and this is not good service instead of her giving customers at least 4 or 6 plates and I think what she was really trying to do was trying to control how much waste she had to pick up off of the tables at our expense!
