We had a short business meeting in tbe back dining area. I explained to the waitress what we wanted to do and she was fine with it. I gave her $20 and thanked her. I also told her the business wouldn't take long. Then my wife and I would have lunch. The waitress was really nice. However, after the meeting was over. We couldn't get her attention at all. She came into our area 3 times. I did everything I could to get her attention. I'm sure she was avoiding us at this point. After trying three times and spending an additional 20 minutes in the dining room trying to get her attention. We gave up and left. I had the feeling since I had already given her $20 she was not interested in doing anything else for us. Her loss, the $20 was for tying up her station just a bit longer than we normally would have. I'd have given her another tip if we had been able to actually have the late lunch we wanted. This had been one of our favorite local restaurants before covid. Not so now. The menu had changed drastically. Most of what we really enjoyed there before. Wasn't on the menu now. But we would have had a couple of hamburgers at least. If the waitress would have just came by our table. The restaurant wasn't busy, the lunch crowd had already left. No reason I could see other than her believing she had all the money she would get so why bother with us. I was very disappointed. Mentioned it to the manager on the way out. If management doesn't know they have a problem they can't fix it. I wasn't upset, just disappointed. I wasn't trying to get her in trouble. Read moreOrdering online is easy enough. When I do, I tend to order a lot and typically spend around $60-80 easy. However, every time I pick up my order there is always something missing. The issue starts at this point and today is the last time I will every order at this location again. When I let them know that an item is missing it turns into a battle to get the missing item. They always argue with me about it. Even when I show them the order I placed. I unpack the bag or bags and have to go through each item and compare it to the order I placed. Rather than just say, "We are sorry. Let us get the item." They just want to argue with me and tell me I'm wrong. Then after they realize I'm right they reluctantly give me the item. Prime example today: I ordered the pancake family feast with bacon. An extra side of bacon and an extra side of hashbrowns. The extra sides were there, however the main order of hashbrowns that come with the meal were not. I told one lady I was missing them. She walked to the door of the kitchen and told them what i was missing and they literally threw a fit and argued with her about it. A minute later a lady walks out with the hashbrowns and refused to give them to me till she looked at the receipt and made me unpack the bag and show her everything in it. Then told me there was supposed to be four bags. There was only one big bag that I picked up and she was the one who gave it to me! Then started to tell me i was wrong. She suddenly realized I was right and gave them to me. It's ridiculous to have to argue with them over items I paid for that are missing. I won't be back there again. Read moreAs far as customer service, this is the worst IHop in Georgia. Very slow service. We sat down..... and waited...... and waited for someone to come by to service us. I asked management who is the waitress for our table and she pointed her out to me. This waitress had passed our table three times without even saying, "I'll be with you in a moment." I finally stopped her and told her we had been waiting for over five minutes and that she passed out us without even acknowledging that she was our waitress. She looked at me like I was crazy. As far as I could see she only had two other tables and one already had their food. She said that she'd be right back but didn't come back for another three to four minutes!..... AND she still hasn't even taken our drink order😠....although by now I was ready to leave. We did decide to leave and on our way out the same manager I talked to earlier just looked at us... not even asking us why we were leaving ..... she knew we hadn't eaten. I know Saturday mornings can be very hectic at any restaurant but timelines is of the essence in the restuarant business; and there's no better form of advertisement.... whether good or bad than WORD of MOUTH. This IHOP location... you need to do a better job at servicing customers so that ratings like this doesn't happen.
