I went in on day 2 of the $13 flash sale. Me and my friend got there at 10 am (when the doors opened) and they were already slammed with so many clients, some from the previous day getting their second, some that got turned away from being too busy coming back to get their promised tattoo, and several new clients. Immediately we were told that it would be at least a 2 hour wait and that they may not get to us at all because of how busy it was, but we decided to hangout just on the off-chance they could fit us in. You could tell by just being there and seeing the artists how stressful and hectic the situation was, and how sorrowful they felt when they had to turn clients away as they walked in. The artist (Brandon) came and talked to my friends and I several times just giving us updates on who was next and how long it would be. Several times we allowed people to go in front of us to be courteous, especially because some of them were from the day before still awaiting their tattoo; we’re patient ladies so we waited calmly for our turn, having no problem with the order since we could feel the stress of the last two days built up. Even with all the stress in the air and the number of clients who were not so patient as we were, the environment of the shop was phenomenal. Everyone was able to vibe and hangout and just talk and enjoy our time to get to know each other. After a 5 1/2 hour wait for us, and a 7 hour wait for last group of boys, we all walked away with amazing tattoos (honestly much bigger than most got and definitely worth more than $13) and a good reputation left for the shop!! We tipped big because of the patience and kindness of Brandon, and in return he gave both my friend and I beautiful original art posters!! They’re beautiful black and white flowers on strings like marionette dolls against a gradient of gorgeous yellow colors. The genuine care this shop has even at their most stressful moments is astounding, and so appreciated!! Thank you Brandon and Marisa for lovely tattoos and an even lovelier...
Read moreJake is simply amazing! I have been going to Jake for many many years.. he listens to me and my ideas. He has this really cool thing where I can make no sense and draw stick figures and he will turn my idea into actual art!! Pretty dang cool!!
When Jake moves shops I never know what to expect as they all vary so much. When I went in to book my next appt and give him my drawings, my jaw dropped to the floor. From the minute I walked in to the time I left I was as so impressed. It was sooooooo clean. I mean the kind of clean you don't want to touch anyrhing clean! The guy I'm not sure his name, he called me miss!! I loved it. Normally at tattoo shops you get a friendly hey girl or whatever, NOT HERE. The level of professionalism that these 2 guys showed me was simply UNREAL! But my favorite part was that it wasn't ghetto. Let's be serious for a sec..... You walk into a shop and you see some part that is being built or under construction, or you see a broom standing in a corner or you see all the cleaning supplies in the bathroom on a corner right? Nothing !!! The shop was completely finished it was all neat and put away and no dust on the wall pictures.
Jake please stay here!!!!! This new shop most definalty raises the bar on a tattoo shop for...
Read moreGot a thigh piece done by Brandon, and he is amazing! I have a few tats but nothing of this size and detail and he made the whole process so smooth and relatively painless as far as tattoos go. His shop is clean and inviting and filled with awesome artwork. Brandon is a great artist who really cares about his clients and the artwork he's creating. I will definitely come back to him for future work!
UPDATE - Since the original post, I've been getting a half sleeve done by Brandon. I'd like to start off by saying that Brandon is amazing, as an artist, business owner and person. A few years ago, I hade a maleficent tattoo done by a young kid at a shop in California and it was terrible, I was embarrassed by it. Brandon did a rose cover up that I'm now proud to show off, and since, I have acquired a few more pieces that I love and have completed my half sleeve. I'm now seriously considering a full sleeve lol. If your into traditional tattoos or just want some ink by a talented artist, go visit Brandon at Ogden Tattoo Parlor and check out his work...
