The Kühl store in Park City has the very best selection of Kühl products and their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Kühl hires cool people.
Now I want to talk about Kühl's products. In the early 2000s my husband fell in love with a lightweight and soft wool jacket made by Kühl embroidered with the Snowbird ski resort logo. It immediately became my husband's favorite jacket.
In 2006, after a week long hiking trip a family member with good intentions put my husband's jacket (and his down sleeping bag) in the washer and then the dryer. [Insert very sad emoji here.] My husband was super bummed his favorite jacket shrunk. Luckily for me, the jacket was now my size and it became my favorite new jacket. I called the store at the Snowbird resort to see if I could buy a jacket to replace the one my husband bought years earlier. They said they didn't have it anymore but gave me the phone number for Kühl so I called Kühl and explained what happened. While they still made the jacket, they didn't offer the embroidered jacket anymore. Now for 99.99% of companies that would have been the end to the story, but Kühl went above and beyond and embroidered a new jacket for my husband!!!! My husband was absolutely overjoyed to receive a brand new verion of his favorite jacket.
We've continued buying Kühl products over the decades and were thrilled to see a Kühl store was opened in Park City. This summer we made our way back to Utah and bought more products from their store. When we got home, I put on my new Kühl overalls and one of the strap buckles broke and I realized it was the first time in over 20 years that something on our many Kühl products broke.
I reached out to Kühl and they directed me to fill out a warranty and repair form on their website. They sent me a shipping label so I could return the overalls and a few weeks later, the overalls arrived repaired and in great condition. I love those overalls so much that I wear them way too often but always have a big cheesy grin on my face because they're the best overalls ever! Plus, I get lots of compliments on them too.
Kühl makes apparel that LASTS...for decades. They stand behind their product AND their employees are a great reflection of the fantastic brand they represent.
Kühl, way to set the standards on how to build a great product, hire smiling empoyees, and create deeply loyal customers!
PS - Here's a photo of the Kühl jacket with the embroidered Snowbird ski resort logo after being worn for 15 years. You can see it still looks fantastic. If I aged as well as our beloved Kühl products, I share a more recent photo as the jacket still looks new after 20+...
Read moreKuhl is not really known for their Customer Service. Their attitude is basically "take it or leave it" and if you don't like our policies you can "eff off." This is how it is online where any sort of inquiry gets you pretty much no where. Worse, is that any time there's an issue, in my case, irregular and inconsistent sizing, you have to file a Warranty Claim, which in of itself is ridiculous, not to mention no where on their website does it mention that filing a warranty claim is the proper procedure. Irritating and frustrating - so I just stopped shopping there. However, when I visited Park City with my son, and were strolling down Main Street, he wanted to check out coats since his had "expired" at college. I pointed him towards the Helly Hanson store in the same building, but he wanted to check out Kühl. Once inside we were warmly greeted by Scott Morone. I told him that my son was interested in a new jacket and he asked several savvy questions to point us to the handsome Burr Insulated affair. Done. Feeling comfortable with Scott, I then proceeded to ask him about the weird sizing issues I was experiencing: I would buy a pair of a particular model of pants (Radikl), and then when I reordered a few months later the sizing was different. He informed me that it wasn't the first time he heard this, but now that I was in the store, I should try on some different sizes to confirm the proper fit. Sure enough, there was some inconsistencies, but I found a good pair, as well as the Resistor belt, a Merino wool Invigoratr 1/4 zip and...$500 later I was walking out of the store with the Kuhl vibe restored. I probably won't order from the online store again, but when I'm back in Park City, I'll definitely pay Scott another visit. Compared to the lackadaisical GenZ employees that wander around there auditioning the next affected speaking pattern they can adapt, he's a true asset to the...
Read moreI'm an enormous fan of Kuhl. I LOVE Kuhl clothing. All of the items I have purchased in the past are amazingly well designed and the quality of construction is better than anything I have worn in the past. I happened to be in Las Vegas last week and when I learned I was only 6.5 hours away from the only Kuhl store in the continent.I couldn't resist the urge to check out the Mothership. When I got there, I was greeted by Peter E. (sorry if the spelling is wrong) who took great care of me there and I left with my car's trunk full of AMAZING Kuhl clothes. Peter was expert in his knowledge of the brand, and his customer service matched the quality of the clothing he sold me. It was worth every minute of the 14 hour round trip drive to Park City from Las Vegas. So, I would recommend any of the products. I have three jackets, almost every pair of trousers and shorts, as well as most of the shirts they make, and I can honestly say that I can't think of anything negative to say about Kuhl, or their great employees in Park City, Utah. I will certainly continue buying their clothing, and look forward to going back to the Kuhl Park City store. Keep up the great work Team...
